Watch The Young Turks YouTube TV NOW: https://tv.youtube.com/browse/UCcYIW1doY-ArwqFqw8HNj0Q Read more here: https://www.npr.org/2018/07/24/631870467/ryan-trump-threat-to-revoke-security-clearances-is-trolling-people "House Speaker Paul Ryan on Tuesday downplayed a threat by President Trump to revoke security clearances for a number intelligence officials who served under President Barack Obama as "trolling" and not a political act. "I think he s trolling people, honestly," Ryan told reporters. "This is something that is in the purview of the executive branch." Ryan moved on quickly when asked whether it is dangerous for Trump to threaten people s security clearances over politics. Democrats and Republicans have warned that revoking classified access over political dissent could have a chilling effect on the intelligence community. On Monday, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders told reporters that the former officials could lose security clearance over political statements. The list includes former CIA Director John Brennan; former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper; former FBI Director James Comey; retired Gen. Michael Hayden, a former director of the CIA; former national security adviser Susan Rice; and former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe." Trump is killing the livelihood of American farmers. Ana Kasparian, and Brett Erlich, hosts of The Young Turks, break it down. Watch The Young Turks YouTube TV NOW: https://tv.youtube.com/browse/UCcYIW1doY-ArwqFqw8HNj0Q Read more here: https://www.nytimes.com/2018/07/24/us/politics/farmers-aid-trade-war.html "WASHINGTON — The Trump administration on Tuesday announced up to $12 billion in emergency relief for farmers hurt by the president’s trade war, moving to insulate food producers from looming financial losses that would be a direct result of President Trump’s policies. The aid to farmers, announced by the United States Department of Agriculture, will come through a direct assistance program, one designed to help with food purchase and distribution and one specifically geared toward promoting trade. The move is an indication that Mr. Trump — ignoring the concerns of farmers, their representatives in Congress, and even some of his own aides about the adverse consequences of a trade war he says he relishes — plans to plow forward in escalating his tariff tit-for-tat around the world. “The actions today are a firm statement that other nations cannot bully our agricultural producers to force the United States to cave in,” Sonny Perdue, the secretary of agriculture, said during a call with reporters to unveil the program. “This administration will not stand by while our hard-working agricultural producers bear the brunt of unfriendly and illegal tariffs.” Hosts: Ana Kasparian, Brett Erlich Cast: Ana Kasparian, Brett Erlich *** The Largest Online News Show in the World. Like father like daughter… Ana Kasparian, and Brett Erlich, hosts of The Young Turks, break it down. Watch The Young Turks YouTube TV NOW: https://tv.youtube.com/browse/UCcYIW1doY-ArwqFqw8HNj0Q Read more here: https://www.cnn.com/2018/07/24/politics/ivanka-trump-brand-company/index.html "Ivanka Trump has decided to shut down her company after deciding to pursue a career in public policy instead of returning to her fashion company. Trump s clothing and accessory business has been operating with limitations to reduce potential violations of ethics laws and the perceptions she s profiteering off her White House role. Given those restrictions, Ivanka, who serves as a senior adviser to President Donald Trump, decided it didn t make sense to keep the company running if she s not returning after her father s presidency, two people with knowledge of her decision-making process told CNN. "When we first started this brand, no one could have predicted the success that we would achieve. After 17 months in Washington, I do not know when or if I will ever return to the business, but I do know that my focus for the foreseeable future will be the work I am doing here in Washington, so making this decision now is the only fair outcome for my team and partners," Ivanka Trump said in a statement. "I am beyond grateful for the work of our incredible team who has inspired so many women; each other and myself included. While we will not continue our mission together, I know that each of them will thrive in their next chapter."
