Ask This Old House painter Mauro Henrique demonstrates the best way to paint furniture built out of MDF SUBSCRIBE to This Old House: http://bit.ly/SubscribeThisOldHouse Time: 1-2 hours Cost: $80 Skill Level: Beginner Tools List for Painting MDF Furniture: Paint brush Paint roller Putty knife Sander Shopping List: Oil-based primer Latex paint in desired color Paint tray Wood filler 220 grit sandpaper Tack cloth Steps: 1. Start by priming the edges on the inside of the cubbies with an oil based primer. Once all the edges have been cut, use a roller to paint the rest of the bench. 2. Allow the primer to dry and then add a second coat the same way. 3. Once the second coat has dried, fill in the nail holes with wood filler and a putty knife. 4. Sand all the filled holes with 220 grit sandpaper. 5. Wipe down the bench with tack cloth to remove the dust from sanding. 6. Paint the top coat of water-based paint on the bench using the same technique as priming. Resources: To prevent water from damaging the MDF, Mauro recommends using an oil-based primer, since it repels water. For this bench, Mauro used BIN shellac base primer, manufactured by Zinsser (https://www.rustoleum.com/product-catalog/consumer-brands/zinsser/). For the top coat, Mauro used Benjamin Moore Advanced in “Simply White” with a semi-gloss finish. The top coat is a water-based paint. The other painting materials Mauro used, including the wood filler, paint brushes, and rollers can all be found at home centers and paint supply stores. Special assistance with this project was provided by Mauro’s Painting (http://maurospainting.com). 60% off all AX programs - http://athleanx.com/x/5-workouts Subscribe to this channel here - http://youtube.com/user/jdcav24 It is not only possible to get a gut busting ab workout without crunches but it is necessary. In this video, I’m going to show you 6 ab exercises that will fire up your core in ways you never imagined by training your abs like an athlete. In order to effectively hit your abs you need to stop focusing on the ability of your abdominals to simply flex your spine and more on their ability to prevent motion as well. Here, I’m taking WWE superstars Sheamus and Cesaro through an intense series of six ab exercises that will challenge the muscles ability to prevent rotation, produce power rotation and prevent over extension of the spine. No crunches, no planks and no basic ab exercises are performed in this workout. The first ab exercise we cover is the leg lift performed in the captains’ chair. The key to this move is that we are able to support our upper body through our forearms rather than our shoulders while hanging from a bar. Particularly for those that have shoulder issues like a torn labrum, being able to take the hang out of the move without sacrificing the effectiveness of the movement on the abs is key. Next we perform a rotational variation on this exercise called the gymnast abs. Here instead of curling your lower pelvis up towards your shoulders you lift your hips into a posterior tilt. This is incredibly challenging and takes advantage of relative motion to produce an insanely effective exercise for your abs workouts. We move onto the battle ropes. People often think of battle rope workouts as something you do for conditioning or to burn fat. That doesn’t have to be their limits however. The battle ropes present a great way to train your core and obliques with alternating rotational slams. Even better, you should change the posture from which you perform the exercise to make this an even more difficult ab movement. Start by kneeling and slamming the ropes side to side and progress to a sitting position. When you gain the ability to, alternate between sitting and kneeling positions throughout the set. Next we control rotation of the trunk with an oblique and rectus abdominis movement that is easy to perform but tough if you crank up the resistance of the band you use to perform it. The goal is to keep your arms out straight and directly in front of your chest. Step out to one side, increasing the resistance on the band and the amount of work the abs have to do to prevent your body from twisting. When you get strong enough abs, you can jump out to position which will provide a more dynamically challenging movement to have to control. Finally, the plank punch out is a much more difficult variation of the common plank. Planks alone are often not enough to help you to develop a good looking, strong set of abs. Instead, you need to ramp up the difficulty level by decreasing your base of support and including things like a band and three points of contact to make the abs work much harder. You will see the instant difference the second you try these. If you are looking to train your abs like an athlete for a full 90 days and get an impressively ripped six pack, head to the link below and choose the ATHLEAN-X program best suited to your goals. For more ab workouts and ab exercises to help you get a chiseled midsection, be sure to subscribe to our channel here on youtube and turn on notifications so you never miss a new video as it is posted.

See how designer Philippe Beauparlant added a multipurpose carport — which doubles as a dining area and parking garage — to maximize function on his narrow lot. String lights and speakers make the area ideal for entertaining when the carport isn’t in use. A table and chairs are hidden behind Jackson Pollock-inspired sliding doors, and can easily be brought out to create a dining area. Heaters and ceiling fans mean this double-duty carport is perfect for all-season entertaining. "Erik In..." is a vlog series following the travels and activities of Erik Anders Lang. In this episode, Erik and Colt begin their 48 hour trip to North Carolina to visit PINEHURST; one of the most iconic golf courses and resorts in the game. To make the most of it, Erik and Colt squad up with Akbar Chisti of Seamus Golf and Ashley Mayo of 8AM Golf to stay in Donald Ross original cottage that sits on the 3rd fairway of course No. 2 (OMG). They get to sample some of the best Pinehurst has to offer: a pre-dawn round at No. 2, a game on the post-renovation/restoration of No.4 (by the modern day Donald Ross, Gil Hanse), and a quick loop of Gil Hanse s new, brilliant par 3 course called "The Cradle." In this first episode in a series of three, glow balls make an appearance on the No. 2 course before daybreak, Erik holes out, and the guys take a picture with Payne who overlooks the 18th green. -- Stay tuned for Part 2 where Gil Hanse joins in to play his par 3 masterpiece: The Cradle -- Other Gil Hanse Original Designs: Olympic Golf Course - Rio, Brazil LACC - South Course Streamsong Resort - Black Course Boston Golf Club Castle Stuart Golf Links For more on Erik, all things Random Golf Club, merch, news and meet-ups go to https://randomgolfclub.com/

New US Drugs War (2001) - US and Thai troops have joined forces in tackling the huge drugs problem in the Golden Triangle in Myanmar - but it is a political minefield. The Shan State Army is a Burmese rebel group fighting for independence. 21st Century War (2001): Indonesia, the most Tigerish of the Asian economies that boomed through the greed-is-good years of the Eighties, finally went bust in 1998. 75% of the country s businesses went to the wall. Banks collapsed. The Rupiah (currency) went into free-fall. Rioting students and citizens forced General Suharto out of power after a 32 year dictatorship. The IMF stepped in to pick up the pieces. Then things got worse. Subscribe to Journeyman here: http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=journeymanpictures# Arguably globalisation did everyone a favour by melting down the economy of Indonesia because it laid bare the country s despotism and corruption. The tragedy is that globalisation didn t just flatten the crony capitalists, but also the ordinary people who had just been working hard according to the local rules. The question now is whether institutions like the IMF can take advantage of the moment, or whether it will squash them into the ground; whether ultimately the IMF cares only about the interests of powerful countries and corporations....
