The flight from Toronto to Mumbai with Air Canada was really long and I arrive in Mumbai feeling exhausted but at the same time full of adrenaline and excitement to be back in India. At the airport it took me a long time to arrange a taxi and to take out money mostly because of an Uber strike. By the time I get to my hotel I m completely knackered. And as you can notice oh my gosh I am by myself. There is no Audrey. I am taking a trip to India and I m going to be meeting up with my friend David. I m actually going to see if they have some Indian food in this airport. I can order some Indian food from maybe Marathi. Rice and curry over here. Down here I ve got sides. It looks like naan bread. Check out this. When you have the choice between plain naan and garlic naan that is a no brain-er. And what to get with the garlic naan. Let s check out the rice and curry section. Oh wow. Look at that guys. Butter chicken. Chicken Tikka Masala. Paneer Matter Masala. So like all of my favorites. Aloo Gobi which I love. Decisions, decisions. While I hurry up and wait for the food I thought I d tell you a little bit more about my travels to India. So the person I m going with David Hoffmann. He s been making videos even longer than us. His channel is David s Been Here. I m going to be teaming up with him and basically traveling all over India for 3 weeks. This is uh a trip that he has designed himself and it is a very fast paced. I think we re going to six or seven cities. I ve been wanting to go back to India for a really long time and this is going to be my third trip there. So guys I m going to be flying with Air Canada today. And one very unfortunate thing, on a long flight like this, I d love to get an aisle seat. I want to have access to the toilets. I want to be able to stretch my legs and just get up. I ve made it to India! Mumbai. The biggest city of India. Wow! This is crazy. Like I m so tired but I feel like I ve got this sudden jolt of adrenaline now that I m here. I m so excited to be here. And yeah it is basically just have to go through Immigration, get my bag and then find a cab. Guys I ve arrived at the hotel. And I have to say like I am completely knackered. It is 2am in the morning. It took a little while to actually arrange a cab, get some money. Like none of the ATMs worked with my card. And so I spent a half an hour doing that. I waited in line for a cab for an hour. Um I didn t have my hotel address plotted on Google Maps so it took about five different tries for my cab driver to find the hotel. So I m going to say goodbye for now and I ll have more India travel and food videos coming for you really soon. Nearly 950 men and 50 women are imprisoned here. Most are still awaiting their final judgment. Their long wait may last for years: Justice in Colombia works slowly. Very slowly. This leads to great frustration. Many frustrated people in one place will always lead to great problems. Disputes, fights and riots are everyday occurrences. The 170 staff members have their hands full with unannounced raids, inspections of the inmates and fights for power with the prisoners. The prisoners fight back. They play by their own rules – illegal ones. Even in prison they continue to take drugs, carry weapons and continue their illegal transactions. One is always involved: the boss of the gang! He has people around him to do his jobs, such as acquiring drugs and weapons. If caught, they will be in trouble; the sanctions are solitary confinement, extension of the sentence or visiting bans. Support and help from family is important for the inmates. On visiting days, they have two hours to pretend everything is ok, hold their children and their loved ones. After precisely two hours, they have to say farewell, not knowing when they will meet gain. The bleak life in prison continues with its daily fights. All inmates share one thing: They want out as quickly as they can, and never return behind bars! A&Z #683 - Atlas vs The 7lb California Tacos Challenge at Kennedy s Meat Company in Escondido of San Diego, California. The weekend after visiting Washington, DC where I did the giant pho challenge, I visited the San Diego, California area where I did 3 events, including 2 restaurant food challenges. This is event #3 featuring The 7lb California Tacos Challenge at Kennedy s Meat Company in Escondido of San Diego, California. I attempted the challenge alongside my friends Erik "The Electric" Lamkin and "Magic" Mikey who are both from southern California. We each had 40 minutes to finish and get the whole meal free. Thanks to the Kennedy s staff for the wonderful hospitality, and thanks to all the many people who came up to watch and meet us!! You must finish two giant tacos served on a 12" fried tortilla, and each taco includes 1lb of carne asada, pico de gallo, french fries, guacamole, cheese, lettuce, and more. The tacos are served with 1/2 pint portions of rice and refried beans, and there are some chips & salsa as well. There is a 40 minute time limit to finish everything. Winners receive the meal free, a sweet t-shirt, and spot on Kennedy s Wall of Fame. If you can beat the current record, you also win the jackpot which includes $100 plus $10 for each person who has failed the challenge since the last winner.
