Going from setup to setup, he just wasn’t happy with the power produced from the factory boxer engine. Mark decided enough is enough and picked up a Nissan R35 GT-R twin turbo powertrain! Mark didn’t stop there, he decided to go with a sequentially shifted gearbox, a stroked engine at 4.1 liters and a power goal of 1,300 HORSEPOWER! The new Porsche 911 GT3 has arrived and I ve submitted an order for one! Armed with a 4.0l flat-six that revs up to 9,000rpm producing 500hp, it can be had with either the 7-speed PDK or a 6-speed manual gearbox. We also take a look at the new Panamera Sport Turismo and the regular Panamera Turbo S e-hybrid at the 2017 Geneva Motorshow. At this stage allocations have not been done so I don t know if I ll be lucky enough to add a new GT3 to the garage but prior to selling my Cayman GT4 I put in my request and application with a hope of it being my next Porsche. In any case, the car would not arrive for at least a year but I will be sure to let you know the outcome. It s amusing timing as the vote for the car I will purchase this month has the 911 GTS out in the lead but now you know why I won t be buying one at this time with hopes of a GT3 on the horizon! Each week with every film we produce we’re going to aim to give you a bit of a gallery from behind the scenes. This week we take a ride in Maxime Delestre’s 1975 Austin Mini through the rural back roads just outside of Normandie. The grandson of a Peugeot salesman and son of a rally co-driver, Maxime grew up within a passionate petrolhead family. After watching his father compete in rallies for years, at the age of 17 Maxime earned his own rally co-driver permit, following in his father’s flame suit and helmet-toting footsteps. At 18, Maxime secured his driver’s license—a possession we so easily forget we petrolheads all once craved to attain. Immediately, he made way for the twisting-and-turning roads so ideal for the spirited driving he wished to explore. There was just one problem: Max felt modern cars weren’t delivering the experience he so desired. “Something was missing. It lacked noise, it lacked vibration, and it didn t smell of anything.” Naturally, Maxime realized only an analog machine from the past could fulfill his driving needs. Being an 18-year-old student posed a financial limitation, but as we know a small car fund can buy small car fun—a classic Mini was the obvious choice. After a short stint with a deteriorating 1992 Mini Sprite, Maxime was able to source a stunning bronze 1975 Austin Mini he’s still revving out-and-about today. Finally satisfied with the Mini, Max confesses there were some growing pains involved with the coming of age. With cars and competition always on the mind, Maxime admits it was often a distraction. “In school, I spent more time drawing in my books than studying, the teachers hated me for it.” Instead of making his enthusiasm for machines and doodling a complication, Maxime decided to turn it into a career by studying automotive design. “The nice thing is that I can use many different aspects—the past with vintage cars such as the Mini, the present with racing cars and fun fast driving, and try and incorporate all [of] this in the future,” Maxime explains. With the right car, mentality, and career path underway, Maxime Delestre is hope there will continue to be fun motoring for generations to come. The 2018 2022 Volvo XC60, one of the safest cars ever made, is fully-loaded with new technology. Steer Assist has been added to the ground-breaking City Safety system. A new safety system called Oncoming Lane Mitigation uses steer assist to help mitigate head-on collisions, while Volvo’s Blind Spot Indication System (BLIS) now uses Steer Assist functionality to reduce the risk of lane-changing collisions. Pilot Assist, Volvo’s advanced semi-autonomous driver assistance system, which takes care of steering, acceleration and braking on well-marked roads up to 130 km/h (80mph), is available in the new XC60 as an option. The new XC60 offers Volvo’s award-winning T8 Twin Engine petrol plug-in hybrid at the top of the powertrain range, delivering 407 horsepower and acceleration from 0-100 km/h (62mph) in just 5.3 seconds.  “We have a wide range of powertrains. The new XC60 will launch with the diesel D4 engine at 190 hp and the D5 with PowerPulse technology delivering 235 hp. We also have the petrol-powered T5 delivering 254 hp and the T6, which with both turbo and superchargers attached, delivers 320 hp and 400 Nm of torque,” added Henrik Green, Senior Vice President Product & Quality at Volvo Car Group. But it is not just under the hood that the new XC60 delivers healthy performance. The new CleanZone four-zone climate system removes harmful pollutants and particles from outside the cabin to deliver Scandinavian-fresh air on the inside. It s time for the 2017 Geneva Motorshow so let s take a little look at preparations behind the scenes and the first cars to be presented. Particular highlights include the Pagani Huayra Roadster and a full carbon Koenigsegg Regera. We also have tuner cars including the Abt R8, Brabus Adventure 4x4^2, FAB Design SLR Roadster and many more. New supercars that have already broken cover include the Bentley Supersports Convertible, Mercedes-AMG GT C Roadster 50 Edition and the SCG 003S. Today we’re going to take a look forehands, a shot that has been redefined in this generation because of string and racquet technology and new techniques that have enabled players to hit harder and with more spin than ever before. But what we want to know today is, which players hit it the hardest?

How To Practice Tennis By Yourself - 5 Different Ways- Tennis Lesson. In this video LTA Senior Performance and RPT National Professional coach Simon Konov of Top Tennis Training will show you five different ways to practice tennis by yourself. Now you will have no excuses for not training alone! The 5 different ways are: 1. Using a ball machine. The advantage of using a ball machine is that you can hit the same type of ball (low backhands for instance) over and over again and fully master that one shot. Some of the new ball machines on the market are also capable of feeding the ball in different zones on the court so you can change the ball length and width and replicate pointplay against the machine. 2. Using a practice wall. This method is great for any level player, indeed pro players use the wall often. For beginners you might choose to practice with 2 bounces so you have time to set up and execute a proper shot. There are so many drills you can do against the wall and the truly great thing is - the wall never misses! 3. Hitting serves alone. The serve is the most important shot in tennis so it would make sense that players spend the most amount of their alone time hitting serves, however not many players actually do this at club level but the further you go up in levels, the more time players will spend hitting serves as they truly understand the importance of the serve in tennis. 4. Training your footwork and movement. Footwork is one of the most overlooked elements of tennis the world over. Ask the majority of club players what they struggle with and you ll rarely get the response "my footwork". However ask 100 pro players why they didn t play well and many will tell you "I didn t move very well today, my footwork was slow and heavy". The fact is, if you can t get into the right position to hit the stroke, you won t be able to execute properly. Just look at Federer dancing around the court and you ll soon realize just how important footwork is for tennis players. 5. Self feeding balls to yourself. This is another great way to train alone, it s something that anyone of any level can do and you d be surprised that even Pros use this when they have nobody to hit with and their coach is not on hand to feed them balls Want to start winning more matches?
