Is he overprotective or is he just cheering for her too?? Phil likes to make some noise when Amelia is happy and he sure shows it on her first time trying to skip! He s such a good howler and she loves his special way of cheering her on Be sure to get your book What I love about you a tale of Phil and Amelia and his journey of difference. These 3 fluffy puppies are so excited to see their little sister and Dad home after a trip away! A Dog s love is just so pure, they are so content and happy just to see their loved ones return even after the shortest periods! Amelia and Dad went to drop Buddy the golden retriever off with his Mum and stay for a couple of days whuch feels like a lifetime to the dogs. They just get so excited for the reunion and go crazy on their return. Forever the father figure Shane surprises Amelia with another practical essential to equip her arsenal in the ongoing battle against condensation. Amelia forever grateful accepts her gift with questionable joy.... Even the animals were happy to see the dehumidifier?? It s so cool to watch the joy of not one but 3 dogs each time they are reunited with their family!

Phil is a very talkative malamute but he is also very indecisive. I ve learnt to interpret his howls over the years but sometimes he just doesn t know what he wants. Its like having an argument with him as he answers back, add another 2 in the pack and a cat and it gets a bit crazy sometimes! What do you think he is saying?? Imagine if we could understanding dog!

Buddy the golden retriever adores his sister Amelia, I think he must think she s the same as him with her golden locks! Can you guess how long ago this was? We had this video from a while back, you can see the kitchen is a different colour and Amelia still has nappies! I think out of all of them Buddy is her favourite though she would never tell the others, closely followed by Milo. Maybe its becaue they are smaller and easier to manage haha. Amelia s vocabulary has increased 10 fold but even wathing back she was very developed for her age. I bet she can t wait til Buddy comes to visit again the reunion will so cute! She s definitely a dog girl!

Amelia is so concerned for the dogs safety I think we should get her a Hi-vis jacket and a hard hat! She s so excited for the new contraption and she can finally play fetch with the dogs and throw the ball far enough! She is however very concerned about them being in the way and is very protective of them. Luckily the machine has safety mechanisms in place with sensors so it won t fire if the dog (or child in this case) is in front of the firing line but she doesn t know that! Phil has guaged the distance and eagerly stand at one bounce range anticipating the next ball, Teddy is prepared to do zoomies anyway whie waiting and Niko is clever enough to intercept at the machine or justt await the balls to roll back to her. Having 3 dogs to compare is always very interesting!

It s becoming a routine occurence now in monitoring and adapting medication to combat and control Phil s cushings. For those of you that wonder, thiis is why he has alopecia, muscle wastage and is yellow in colour. Believe it or not he was once the exact colour of Teddy! He s lost so much size and fur over the years while we chased a diagnosis. Whilst he s not cured, havind a diagnosis and treating it will inevitably provide him a happier and healthier life. The only problem is the levels the drug is controlling have to be continually checked and dosages changed accordingly. He s had a recent blip with a spate or going to the toilet accidentally in the house and excessive drinking. Both a sign that his levels are off so you have to adapt and chase the required levels again which isn t an instant thing. He s so happy these days though, more upbeat and energetic!

When you have 3 dogs a cat and 2 children the mornings can get a bit hectic! On the weekends we have a lie in or as much as you can when your toddler wants to draw on your face, followed by a dog chasing a cat across your bedroom. Nathan is just content absorbing all the information thinking What have i gotten myself into?? Phil stays downstairs now as he s old and doesn t tackle the stairs, he did on occasion in our last house but we had very small stairs and they had a carpet. You wouldn t believe Niko these days she s not a morning person! She lays on her back legs in the air until you feed her, she won t get up in the morning or move, you have to climb over her in her spot to get into the kitchen! Oh and Amelia takes everything and anything out to ask what it is, what it does, who s is it etc etc. I remember once when we used to wake up at the weekends and decide to have a movie day in bed haha. Sounds like a mythical tale now.

Milo is a special cat, he loves to protect and guard the babies of the house. Often you find him snuggled up purring himself to sleep beside them. He often steals their stuff though like the pram in the house, their sleepyheads, rocking chair, crib! He must have a fascination with baby things but he definitely does love the children, he s just so content beside them when overall he s not that affectionate a cat I mean he s not a lap cat! Both Amelia and Nathan seem quite content with Milo there I mean he s like a warm fluffy vibrating pillow, what s not to like haha!

Their long lost Dad returns! He was away with Amelia on a Daddy daughter adventure only for a week but to a dog it seems like a lifetime! The boys definitely seemed happier to see him and as usual Phil is the emotional dog. All the pups have a howling contest at the end and Dad teaches Amelia to howl and it s so cute watching her howl to the moon haha. Milo of course pretended he didn t care somewhere but we know he really does. We didn t cath their initial reaction as he was getting stuff from the car for a while and they knew he was here plus they d already seen Amelia!

Phil s 6th sense kicks in when the bathroom light turns on, he can smell the bath water! Amelia tries to help convince him it will be ok as we coax him out of his new found hiding spot, a teepee tent! He is such a funny dog as he tries to make himself small and invisible. He even hides under the bedroom carpet at one point! Milo tries directing him with a paw swipe too. He reluctantly vacates the room as we relinquish all hiis hiding spots one by one but then tries to dodge the bathroom by running down the corridor! The saga continues, he has to have a bath as he s been prescribed a medicated ointment to bathe his skin in for 15 minutes. Once he s clean he s happier than ever but he makes the task look like the end of the world with his sad face eading up to it! Thing is he s forever in dirty water and pudddles so it s not a temperatuure thing! On the flip side, when he shakes there s very little water thrown around!

On our daily bike ride we always take a new adventure and see exciting things but this was a bit much for me! Teddy was loving the attention, he is always intrigued by big animals, maybe we should get a pet cow haha. I d love a highland cow they re so cool. From donkeys to stray sheep, the countryside is never a dull moment, well maybe dull weather but still. Teddy has pulled me off the bike a couple of times, you have to keep your guard but as a whole he was brilliant without any training whatsoever he just knows to run directly paralell with keeping his lead slack. When he s got to go though he s gotta go and stops very abruptly! He doesn t give any warning slowing at all he literally squats mid sprint!

Grandma comes to visit again and the pack go crazy when they find her, even the cat too! Amelia doesn t want to share her Grandma and Phil gets so emotional as usual he cries. At the end we show a clip of when Grandma suprised Amelia and her reaction, she was so proud of her little brother who she was looking after thats all she wanted to show Grandma! Phil is by far the most invested animal emotionally. You can see and hear the joy when he meets his loved ones! A dog crying happy tears!

Nanna Niko does a brilliant job of keeping watch when required, she won t even leave his side to go out to the toilet! Nathan has been teething and crying a little which is quite unusual for him so the dogs have been very attentive and concerned for him. Niko took it upon herself to guard him on the comfy bed and stay there all morning conveniently! They don t like when he cries but not in an adjitated way, more a concerned trying to reassure way. The dogs and even the cat can sense the vulnerability of a small child and like to look after them it s so cool to watch and live the interactions of them. Anyway, what do you all think of the thumb sucking?? let us know below your experiences, of your kids, maybe not yourself unless you have a really good memory!
