Poor Phil, he s only about to turn 9 but his problems re catching up with him! He s such a happy boy though and gets excited to see his friends at the vets. Hopefully next time we will have some better results and a path to correct things. Fingers crossed.

Phil has been back and forth for a month now, repeating tests done multiple times in the past but on best advices of the animal hospital, this time with the added complication and sense of urgency because of his liver. Before this was a cosmetic concern with Phil having a general lack of energy to boot but unfortunately now its affecting his health and we are doing everything we can to help fix him and get him back to his normal self. We need the vets with their knowledge and tests to find the root cause of this and we re willing to do what it takes but sometimes it feels like we re just going in circles. We just want Phil to be happy and healthy again!

I m surprised the house didn t get crushed! Big bad wolves huff and puff..... Trying to fit in that tiny house with all this fluff!

We have been pointing our fingers in this direction for so many years now from our own knowledge and from that of followers with pets in similar circumstances but despite specialist, years of testing, they all came back negative and we couldn t progress with treatment. This time however we pushed again for the test and they said some of the markers came back positive indicative of the disease. As such they have enough evidence to start a treatment plan so we hope this is the answer and we can finally get Phil back to his old self! Finally! We re definitely seeing a change in Phil after his diagnosis! He s got more enthusiasm and more energy to boot! I m so happy to see that he is happier too! Hopefully this continues as he s acting like Benjamin Button now and getting younger haha

A natural born swimmer, Buddy the golden retriever saves Teddy by guiding him by his lead in the water! Teddy loves swimming of his own accord but he wasn t too keen on the pool even though Shane got in with him, he calmed down after a bit and some help with his little friend and got some good exercise in! So you ll never guess who caused this.... So I ve broken my metatarsal in my left foot, quite a common footballers injury. A night waiting in A&E to be discharged with a support shoe and crutches as there s not much they can do. Never have we been in the hospital as much with Shane having to go to A&E the same day too and Amelia having been in and out over the last few weeks because of her sickness! They say it comes in threes! Look back now a week or so later and it is so silly it s funny, I mean don t get me wrong, I d rather not have broken it but Milo is safe and happy haha.

This giant doggo is the gentlest you ll ever see, he s so patient and friendly to his baby sister. They have the cutest bond! Teddy went on extra walks today as we went on the bike (another video) with Amelia in her trailer buggy. Unfortunately Phil can t run anymore and Niko doesn t have the fitness to go as long and as fast as Teddy so we took him through his paces on a family bike ride instead. The difference between Teddy and Phil eating ice cream is astonishing haha

How good is their smell and their tolerance for our shenanigans ha. This is actually a training technique for certain working dogs albeit they have more professional equipment than a dressing gown rope and an eye mask! We play this game with them for treats and they are surprisingly quick trusting their smell over sight. First time for Buddy and Teddy though an you could tell!
