Sahmura merupakan album studio ketujuh Siti Nurhaliza, dilancarkan tepat pada 1 Januari 2000. Pelancaran dibuat di KLCC ketika majlis menyambut alaf baru. Sahmura merupakan album tradisional bagi menyambung tradisi Malaysia, dan motto bagi album ini ialah, "Permulaan Bagi Seribu Tahun Lagi". Album ini telah terjual melebihi 50,000 unit. Selepas kejayaan album tradisional pertamanya Cindai dan album tradisional duet Seri Balas bersama Noraniza Idris pada Mei 1999, Siti Nurhaliza mengumumkan bakal muncul dengan album tradisional keduanya yang dijadualkan akan menjengah pasaran pada hujung 1999 atau sekurang-kurangnya pada awal sambutan Alaf Baru 2000. Rakaman album Sahmura yang diterbitkan oleh To’Ki, Suhaimi “Pak Ngah” Zain (yang turut menjadi penerbit album Cindai) dan Rosli Selasih ini dijalankan pada Jun 1999 hingga Disember 1999. Tenaga kerja lain yang turut terlibat dalam pembikinan album Sahmura ialah Khir Rahman, S. Atan, Siso Kopratasa, Hairul Anuar Harun, Nurul Asyiqin dan Arid. Biarpun terkenal dengan lagu-lagu pelbagai genre seperti pop, R&B dan balada, Siti tidak ketepikan muzik tradisional dan etnik kerana beliau sememangnya dibesarkan dalam keluarga penggemar muzik tradisional. Trivia tentang "Mahligai Permata" 1. Lagu tradisional ini merupakan hasil gubahan Khir Rahman dengan liriknya oleh Megamutiara. 2. "Mahligai Permata" adalah single ketiga yang di petik dari album ini. 3. Muzik video rasmi lagu ini juga merupakan hasil himpunan rakaman-rakaman video persembahan lagu ini secara langsung di beberapa pertunjukan pentas.
