Oxygen sensors (Air fuel ratio sensors) are a common problem on many vehicles. A P1155 or P1135 code indicates you have a bad sensor. This is common in Toyota and Lexus cars and trucks. What distinguishes Air Fuel Ratio Sensors from regular O2 sensors is that the AFR Sensor is what is known as a wide range O2 sensor whereas the basic O2 sensor is a narrow range sensor. It can detect a wider range of air/fuel ratios than the basic O2 sensor. Also, the AFR Sensor has a little bit more circuity to enable it to detect more minute variations in the exhaust system air content (more sensitive than the O2 sensor). Car tires perform best when they are evenly loaded. Wider tires and even 50/50 weight distributions help allow for even pressure among the tires, allowing for better grip. As load increases on a tire, the coefficient of friction between the tire and the road decreases, thus the amount of lateral grip the tire has decreases. This video helps to explain why, which is a result of the viscoelastic properties of the rubber used in the tires. As the polymer chains which make up the tire stretch out, they become less resistant to additional strain. Belt squeal, squeaky belt, belt noise? Learn how to fix a squeaky belt in your car. The serpentine belt in your car powers the accessories such as air conditioning, power steering, the alternator, fan, and waterpump. There are three types of serpentine belt wear, pilling, glazing, and abrasion. Pulley wear will cause your pulley to squeak. A worn out pulley bearing or a worn spring in the tension pulley can also cause squeaking.
