Two nice ladies went for a drive down to the old ghost town of Babylon. As soon as they reached the river, their silver Toyota Camry became bogged down in the sand. Stuck! Somehow, the sheriffs office was alerted of their situation. They sent a deputy down there to make sure that the ladies were safe and hydrated as it was over 100° that day. Washington county dispatch called us to free the stuck car and send them on their way. The second call was a red Nissan Altima that became stuck out at Sand Hollow State Park. The vehicles front wheels had sunk in the soft red sand, and was unable to drive out under its own power. I happened to be nearby in a rollback tow truck, so I headed their direction, and pulled them out using the winch on the bed of the truck. No sooner had I got them on their way, than I was called to assist a gray Ford super duty that needed to be pulled up a very steep, loose, gravel driveway. Soon after we arrived, the truck and dump trailer were back on smooth, level pavement.
