We got a call for a Prius trapped on the Grafton Mesa road on Gooseberry Mesa. The owner had been camping for 3 days, and when she went to leave got confused and went north instead of south. The road got progressively worse as it lost elevation, until she couldn t get back out. After seeing the situation, I called for some planks to assist in getting the car over the large rocks without further damage. Lots of rock stacking ensued, as we waited for help to make the drive up. After the planks arrived, that made short work of the final few gnarly sections. We were able to get her back to the smoother road without further damage to her Prius. It had taken quit a beating on the way in though. Sometimes we make mistakes in life and go the wrong way. It s ok to take responsibility for our actions, admit we messed up, and ask for help to return to the right path!
