The 2023 Corvette C8 Z06 ($128,000 in Canada, $106,000 in the US) is undoubtedly loud, brash, and ripping fast. But the Dodge Demon ($109,995 original msrp in Canada, $84,995 in the US) has been tearing up drag strips and revving at traffic lights since 2018. So what happens when you pit these two American monsters against one another at Willow Springs Raceway in California? The Demon has a significant power and torque advantage, but the C8 Z06 has multiple weight advantages. One being that it is simply lighter, but the other is where the weight of the engine resides - over the rear wheels. This makes it easier for the Corvette to find traction off a launch and hopefully help it avoid pesky wheel spin. Thomas takes up the helm of the Dodge Demon and James is in the C8 Z06.
