VW has issued a recall on 2011-2014 GTIs. This recall is to replace the water pump that may develop a leak. Leaking water pumps on 2.0t TSI engines is an ongoing issue for VW. In this video we will properly install timing chains on a VR6 engine with a 5mm head gasket spacer. This spacer is meant to drop compression down for turbo application. Installing the spacer is easy. Timing the engine however can be tricky, and is a little more difficult than a stock R32 VR6 engine. This really applies to any 24v VR6 engines with a spacer that requires a 1 link longer chain. I really had one thing to take care of today and that was to go check out our trailer. We have some travel coming up so I wanted to make sure the trailer was all good and it has been raining quite a bit and the feet had sunk into the ground so I had to get them out!
