In order to have a somewhat neutrally handling vehicle, it is ideal to have the center of pressure and the center of gravity on top of one another. If the center of pressure is too far back, the car will understeer. If the center of pressure is too far forward, the car will oversteer. Benji Pate drove the wheels off of his 1200 horsepower big block mud truck and walked away the Winner at the end of the day. This custom built mud truck has one large 1200 Horsepower Big Block Chevy engine and it gets around the track thanks to the awesome suspension. They were the fastest qualifiers during the day so they got a bye run for the first round. During the second round they tried a hot setup and blew the tires off, thankfully the other guy red lighted so they advanced to the finals. They changed the tune around and ran a smoking fast run during the finals, a 3.82 at 197mph. Specs on the car are as follows: Studebaker built by Murray Anderson in 1997 and updated by David Monday Racecars in 2016 The engine is a Brad Anderson 521c.i. Hemi with Stage 8 Heads and a PSI Twin Screw C-Rotor. Transmission is a Lenco Drive with Billet PTC Torque Converter It runs on 34.5" Hoosier Slicks The car weighs 2450lbs It Runs on Renegade Methanol

The racing was top notch and the park was great. Our friend Drew Pate was racing his 1000 Horsepower truck called RawHyde. This is a custom built truck with a 572 c.i. Big block.

Nate finally has is back out and he raced his first race at the Southern Rock Race at Dirty Turtle Offroad Park. Nate finished in 5th place and had some motor issues on the first hill that cost him. The following weekend he brought it out to the Ultra4 vs Rock Bouncer Shootout. It is great to see this buggy back in action and competing again.

He had no idea what the fastest time was when he ran. In true TC fashion he put on a driving clinic and blistered the trail with the fastest time of the day. As you can see in the video this was a Rough course!! Since TC was the Winner he walked away with 10k Cash Prize
