Does a spoiler on a front wheel drive car do anything? Why would a FWD vehicle have a rear wing? There are many reasons a spoiler or rear wing can be beneficial, regardless of which tires are driven. How does wireless charging work? How does the BMW i8 Formula E pace car wirelessly charge? Wireless charging works by taking advantage of the fact that if you put a current through a wire coil, then that coil will create a magnetic field. If you then place another coil set directly over that coil, the magnetic field created by the first coil will induce a current in the second coil. Typically this will be done with an alternating current, so the magnetic field of the first coil will switch back and forth, inducing an alternating current in the second coil. With no physical connection, you’re able to supply a current to charge a device. We have all dreamed about driving our RZRs on the street, but very few states actually allow it. Well we found two guys from Oregon that found a way to do this with a RZR Bug Conversion and they call it the Baja 1000. This isn t a RZR Bug Body kit, Fogg Motorsports actually custom fit this VW Bug Body on to a 2014 Polaris RZR XP 1000 chassis. We caught up to them at the 2018 King of the Hammers event in California and just had to do a feature on it. The Fogg Motorsports RZR Bug is a clean build and they plan on doing many more. One of our favorite events at the King of the Hammers event every year is the backdoor shootout. Well this year they would not let them run backdoor. So instead everyone went up to the infamous rock waterfall on Thursday night and threw down a huge party as many of the locals attempted this iconic climb. On this episode of Extreme UTV Tech we install a SuperATV Portal Gear Lift kit on Project Party Wagon. Most all of us want to run larger tires on our UTVs. But this can be a hard on parts and usually take certain permanent modifications to your machine like gear reduction in the transmission or a lift kit. On this episode of Extreme UTV we are heading to Vegas to test drive the brand new Polaris RZR Turbo S. DISCLAIMER: This is our opinion and ours alone. Polaris did not pay for us to do this review. We were pumped when we got the invite to test drive the new Polaris RZR XP Turbo S. This is not just a standard turbo RZR with a long travel kit, the entire RZR has been redesigned from the ground up to handle long travel suspension and massive 32" Tires. Some of the biggest changed are a better looking cage although it is still made out of the thin material of the original cages. 4 point harnesses are stock on these, but you will need to purchase some seat pass thrus as they are pretty much useless without them. All of the suspension is built stronger and wider. This beast of a RZR is 72" wide and features the most travel on the market according to the Polaris Engineers. The massive RS1 diff is used in the front. We were surprised to see that the engine stayed basically the same with some mild tuning and clutching to handle the larger tires. Come on Polaris in the horsepower war all you had to do was add a few horsepower and you could have bragging rights. All in all we pushed this machine to new limits and the dynamix suspension took everything we threw at it. It was faster than my fully built KOH UTV. The 72" width does take some time to get used to but is well worth it for the dunes or the desert. Probably not the best for East coast woods racing and hill killing like we do. We were so impressed with the Dynamix active suspension that a regular turbo with that option will be our next purchase. Let us know what you think of this brand new machine in the comments. On this episode of Extreme UTV tech we give our 6 month recap on our Super ATV Gen 2 portals. You probably saw the episode where we did the install of the Super ATV portal Install on Project Party Wagon which is Carter s Polaris RZR 4 Seater Turbo.
