The time finally came to take the engine and transmission out of my 1982 Ford Mustang. I m committed now. The next steps are to go through both the engine and transmission before I install them in the Fairmont. I still have a fair bit of work to do, but it s nice to have the project moving forward. It s finally come time to install the new 8.8 differential in the #FairmontProject. There were only a couple of snags along the way. For the most part this seemed to go pretty smoothly. Much easier than setting it up. You can also do this job on the ground with floor jacks and jack stands. I d recommend 2 floor jacks and a level surface.
