Learn how to change your motor oil on any car. I am working on a Chrysler PT Cruiser. Anyone with the tools listed in the beginning of the video can do this. It is a good way to save some money and make sure the job is done properly. Changing oil is basic maintenance that every car needs. Every 5000 miles an oil change needs to be done. You change the oil with the oil recommended in your owners manual as well as an oil filter. **If the video was helpful, remember to give it a "thumbs up" and consider subscribing. This video shows how to change windshield wipers. While it may seem simple, it is a good reference so when you change yours it is an easy process (especially if it is raining outside). The sample vehicle is a 2002 Pt Cruiser but the same method will work for any car that has a U shaped wiper blade arm. Most Dodge, Chrysler, Chevy, Ford, Honda, Toyota, and Nissan cars will have a similar if not the same procedure. Here is where I get cheap wiper blades: http://www.amazon.com/s/?_encoding=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&field-keywords=wiper%20blades&linkCode=ur2&tag=chri0e2-20&url=search-alias%3Daps&linkId=FOMX5D7K45OZFTCK **If the video was helpful, remember to give it a "thumbs up" and consider subscribing. The CPI system began on the 4.3L engines in the early 90s and extended to the 5.0 and 5.7 engines around the same time with some slight variations. Around 1996 the CPI system became a SCPI which stands for Sequential Central Port Injection. The CPI had one central electrical injector, while the SCPI had an individual electrical injector for each cylinder. On both types there where mechanical "poppet nozzles" that sprayed the fuel into the intake runners. These systems had unique problems due to the injector assembly locations and the mechanical injector poppet nozzles. The vehicle being tested in this video is a 1995 Chevy S-10 Pick-up 4.3 L VIN W engine. The primary focus of this video is how to troubleshoot and repair a Central Port Injection system with an internal fuel leak. Some other names for this system: - central port injection (CPI) - "spider injector assembly" - vortec injection system Engine Performance Diagnostics chapter 16 page 8 Symptoms: - long crank time - severe rich running condition (P0172, P0175) - more gas mileage - check engine light - misfire trouble codes (P0300) - rough idle - stalling Fix: - replace fuel pressure regulator Testing procedures shown: - how to test fuel pressure - how to manually energize a fuel pump on a GM - how to determine if you have a fuel pressure bleed-down problem - how to determine the cause of the bleed-down problem - how to verify the the location of the leak that is causing the bleed down problem - how to replace just the fuel pressure regulator on the injection assembly - what to look for using an aftermarket part (you may break the housing!) P0463 Fuel Level Sensor Circuit Signal High/Open trouble code. In this video I will show you how to test a fuel tank sending unit (float). Typically the spring loaded fingers that ride on the resistor in the tank will break off, ruining the sending unit. The only fix is to replace the float as an assembly or try to piece a new resistor assembly into the existing sending unit. The electrical design of the fuel tank sending unit that GM uses is identical in operation and testing as a temperature sensor. The difference is in what changes the resistance of the external resistor. On a temp sensor, it is temperature, on a fuel level sensor, it is the position of the float. For this reason, I have placed this video in my Section 6 "Thermistors" playlist. Engine Performance Diagnostics chapter 6 pages 10-11 Symptoms - in-op fuel gauge - fuel gauge stuck on full or empty - fuel gauge works some of the time - trouble code P0463 Fix - replace fuel tank sending unit Tests shown - description and operation of the electrical circuit - fuel tank level signal and ground wire tests - how to perform a circuit integrity test Tools used - scan tool - digital multimeter - back-probing tools Playlist - (Chapter 6) Temperature Sensor, Thermistor Circuit Tests https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLAFYVCyenqcrUx3YSF-acO7BUpeW5hXoK Related videos - How to test a coolant temperature sensor (ECT sensor test) https://youtu.be/wxaohKkQF3o - How to test an Engine Coolant or Intake Air Temperature Sensor (any car) https://youtu.be/nksLy9MS0IQ - What s on ScannerDanner Premium?
