Prince Harry s threat of writing a second book slamming the royals is branded nasty and his story is becoming the butt of chatshow jokes in the US as his approval in the States sinks along with Meghan, while in England reports are emerging that Prince Andrew wants his HRH titles back in a bid to return to public duty. Sarah Hewson is joined by veteran Royal Photographer Arthur Edwards, The Sun s Royal Editor Matt Wilkinson and TalkTV regular and royal commentator Afua Hagan to discuss the latest fallout from Prince Harry s book as he becomes embroiled in an international diplomatic dispute between Iran and the UK. The discussion kicks off with Matt Wilkinson saying Prince Harry needs a stronger team around him to stop him making mistakes, such as printing his Taliban kill count, and that he could benefit from King Charles and William s influence. He adds that Harry s threat of writing a second book is a nasty threat. Labour MP apologises for tone after accusing Tory MP of dog-whistle transphobia A Labour MP has defended accusing a Conservative politician of making “transphobic” comments during a heated House of Commons debate. Lloyd Russell-Moyle said he wrote to Conservative MP Miriam Cates to acknowledge the tone of his remarks were a “mistake”. He added he failed to control his “passion” but also insisted “I stand by the words that I said”, noting he “profoundly” disagrees with Ms Cates. Penistone and Stocksbridge MP Ms Cates had said the Scottish Parliament’s proposed changes to the gender recognition process would make it “vastly easier for a predator to get access to children, to change their sex, to change their gender, with an eye to exploiting loopholes of accessing children and women in particular”. Ms Cates also raised concerns over the impact on single-sex spaces and said she had recently encountered a “man dressed as a woman” in a restaurant’s toilets and felt frightened at the time. Mr Russell-Moyle, who was the next speaker, told the Commons on Tuesday: “Goodness me, that speech was probably one of the worst transphobic, dog-whistle speeches that I have heard in an awful long time. “The idea of linking trans people with predators, frankly, is disgusting and you should be ashamed.” Mr Russell-Moyle, the MP for Brighton Kemptown, was told to “calm down” and “moderate his language” by Deputy Speaker Dame Rosie Winterton.#talktv #transgender #trans #transphobia #government #house of commons
