This report reveals the controversy surrounding it and the pain of rebuilding under the fear of radioactivity. Around the world the Japanese were praised for dealing with the March 11 earthquake with stoicism and patience. But one year on and there is still an arduous struggle for reconstruction that prevents people from returning their lives to normality. While the government promises that the country s situation is under control, the poor handling of the crisis and widespread misinformation has lead to a lack of trust and fears about radioactive contamination. "Contaminated food is entering the markets throughout Japan. For me this is quite frankly, very worrying", says a Japanese radiation expert. An increasing number of people don t trust official data and in cities like Tokyo there is a palpable, but often unspoken sense of fear. "The scientists say there is no reason for concern. I would like to believe this but I still worry that the situation could become even worse." When I bought this stove years ago, it never entered my mind to do a review of it. I was looking for a sturdy, reliable propane double burner that would have a hard life, and that I could depend on. I would ask a lot: It would have to be sturdy enough to hold large cast iron Dutch ovens full of food, along with large containers of boiling water. Despite my neglect, the stove has never let me down, and it has been used regularly, every week in my backyard when it isn t on camping trips. I don t rep for Camp Chef, and I won t promote a product I wouldn t use myself.

Many common items can be used as survival gear if you have the training and knowledge. This folding technique is very simple and allows you to use aluminum foil, or a common piece of paper to make a drinking cup

There is no foolproof survival firemaking method. But this technique, using cotton balls and petroleum jelly is the closest I ve found. When combined with a piece of aluminum foil and a Ferrocerium (or flint or magnesium stick,) this method is very, very reliable.
