There appears to be no shadow because the sun is directly overhead. This phenomenon happens twice a year for latitudes between the tropic of cancer and the tropic of capricorn at solar noon, when the sun is highest in the sky. But you have to be in the right place at the right time with no clouds! On this Horseback trek through the forest, we bring our dog, hammocks and tarps for an camping overnighter with minimal bushcraft gear. We were Horse riding in the rain for the whole first day, which meant getting dry firewood/ tinder and starting the fire with a firesteel wasn’t easy!
