What makes Jaws so good? In this video, I undertake a Zizekian interpretation of Jaws. I argue that Jaws is capitalist propaganda in its simplest sense. Zizek argues, through the psychoanalysis of Jacques Lacan, that ideology has the same structure as the mind - ideology maps itself onto the mind to make sense of the world. Jaws - a groundbreaking film in 1975 - might just be one of the best pop culture examples of this working in a subtle way - the ideological mirrors the personal, and the personal mirrors the ideological. Short Magazine Lee Enfield Mark III The SMLE was a shortened and modernized version of the Lee Metford and Lee Enfield MLE. Its size was beneficial to the military providing one service rifle instead of a mixture of rifles and carbines. It would serve Britain throughout both World Wars and for the commonwealth throughout the 20th century. Watch my latest full length history documentary here:- https://youtu.be/c3Hq6UaFQqk Watch my latest tour of the Viking World:- https://youtu.be/G3_iLTpTYhY The years between around 1500 and 1200 BC are often cited as some of the most prosperous that the world had ever seen. The Eastern Mediterranean world inhabited by the Egyptians, the Hittites and the Minoans, as well as numerous smaller states around them, was a truly cosmopolitan system rarely seen in world history. Greek and Hittite trade goods regularly show up in archaeological sites in Egypt, whereas Egyptian hieroglyphs and trade goods are found in places such as the island of Crete and Mycenae. One shipwreck off the coast of Turkey carried goods from nine different states aboard. As evidenced by substantial diplomatic communications as well as trade, the world of the Late Bronze Age was a vast interconnected system. The culmination of an unbroken cultural line which had existed since the first cities three thousand years before. Little did the inhabitants of these lands know however that from around 1200 BC their world would catastrophically and violently fall apart in a decades long cataclysm known as the Late Bronze Age Collapse. Find out how to find and finance a property with no permit requirements and very low taxes in Ontario, Canada. http://myselfreliance.com/no-permit-required-where-to-build-your-tiny-home/ I found my solution in the form of an unorganized township in Ontario, Canada. Here, I am unencumbered by government oversight. With no building permit requirement and very low annual property taxes, I am free to build what I want, where I want and when I want. Without oversight, I am free to build another log cabin. This one is 10 feet by 20 feet - 200 square feet plus a 70 square foot covered porch and a back deck overlooking the stream, which will eventually be screened in. How to find a property in an unorganized township 1. Search Realtor.ca in the area that you are interested in. 2. Contact real estate agents in desired locations and asked for a list of unorganized townships in the area. 3. Ask realtor for a list of properties for sale in an unorganized townships. Include already developed properties - sometimes the building is not suitable for habitation but beneficial infrastructure is in place, such as driveway, well and septic. 4. Visit http://www.gisapplication.lrc.gov.on.ca/CLUPA/Index.html?site=CLUPA&viewer=CLUPA&locale=en-US (Crown Land Use Policy Atlas) to see what public lands are located near your property. Ideally, a large park of public land should be within walking distance. 5. Spend time on Google Earth to get an idea of what surrounds the property - lakes and rivers, landfill sites, other developments, mines, quarries, etc.

This is our next video of primitive survival skills. In this video we show you how to create a primitive pulley. Pulley is a great invention and it is still used today. Pulley modifies the power of the force so that we can lift an object easily. At first we cut the wood to make rollers, took the bark to make zipper, cut a piece of tree to make the shaft. We made this video purely by primitive technology. We took a lot of time to complete it. We will continue to make the next video on primitive survival skills. Watch my latest full length history documentary here:- https://youtu.be/c3Hq6UaFQqk In the year 1013, Sweyn Forkbeard, the powerful Viking King of both Norway and Denmark invaded England and usurped the throne of King Æthelred. Sweyn led a huge force of Danish and Norse raiders, many of whom were still pagan warriors who worshipped the pantheon of Norse Gods. Upon Sweyn’s death later that year however, Æthelred, despite being remembered as ‘the unready’; meaning bad counsel, was invited back to reclaim the throne of England. Sweyn’s young son Cnut however had other ideas, and amassed himself a large army out of the ashes of his fathers and launched his own invasion. England was in turmoil. For the first time since the time of the Great Heathen Army well one hundred years before during the time of Æthelred’s ancestor, Alfred the Great, the very survival of England hung in the balance against an onslaught of Vikings, this time led by a King. Except this time, England had no great defender such as Alfred. Æthelred was renowned as being a weak ruler. He was ruthless, but indecisive and pursued a policy of appeasement rather than organising a decisive campaign against the invaders. Æthelred died in 1016 however and a very different man, his young son Edmund, seized the throne for himself. It was Edmund who would assemble an English force to push back the Vikings to the sea. Edmund was a warrior prince, he had spent much of his life upon the battlefield, and amassed a small fortune of weapons and armour, most notably wielding a great longsword once possessed by Offa, the revered Anglo-Saxon King of Mercia from centuries before. After securing the throne of Wessex after defeating the English elite who had sided with Cnut after Æthelred s death, Edmund pushed forward, defeating Cnut time and time again, relieving his siege of London, before finally meeting him for once last decisive battle at Assandun. In the years to follow, Edmund would be remembered under a very different title to his father, he was given a name which reflected his valour in battle and his courage. Edmund Ironside.
