What’s beyond the edge of the universe? Is there even an edge at all? On this episode of StarTalk Radio, Neil deGrasse Tyson answers your fan-submitted questions about the mysteries, wonders, and theories that exist on the bleeding edge of cosmology. As if that’s not mind-bending enough, we haven’t even gotten to the dimensionality questions yet. Find out more about other possible dimensions. We discuss why it’s so difficult to detect other dimensions, if they’re even there in the first place. Janna and Neil help us visualize a 4th dimension. You’ll hear why adding another dimension might provide too much freedom for molecules to bind together and create macroscopic things. In this video, I take a look at what ‘trust’ is philosophically. When trust is in low supply in our societies, it’s a sign of a deeper issue. That’s why any social progress involves, in some way, an increase in trust. Trust is a difficult concept to define, but it is, ultimately, an optimism in people; which is why any positive social change should revolve around trust in some way. So much of our modern society relies on trust. We trust the food we buy is safe, the medicines we take aren’t poisonous, that drivers and pilots won’t crash us, that electricians won t poorly wire our houses… Many studies have shown that trust influences economic growth and societal prosperity. The economist Kenneth Arrow wrote that ‘virtually every commercial transaction has within itself an element of trust’ Trust that a person can do the best job, shares your goals, won t scam you, trust is required to setup businesses, to deal with people and work in groups. Trust sometimes involves letting others make a decision for you. Believing that someone has your best interests at heart. Three space travelers launched to the International Space Station aboard a Soyuz spacecraft.🚀  Astronaut Chris Cassidy of NASA and cosmonauts Anatoly Ivanishin and Ivan Vagner of the Russian space agency Roscosmos lifted off at 4:05 a.m. EDT on a four-orbit, six-hour journey to our orbiting laboratory.  This is the third spaceflight for both Cassidy and Ivanishin and the first for Vagner. During their mission on the station, they ll welcome NASA s Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley aboard the SpaceX Crew Dragon, which is currently targeted to launch no earlier than mid-to-late May.
