Watching baseball in Japan is an absolute must even if you re not necessarily a fan of the sport itself. The atmosphere with the crowd cheering, chanting and singing combined with the fascinating food options and additional entertainment make it an experience you ll never forget. GEAR WE USE Panasonic GH5: http://amzn.to/2yqTUyi Canon G7X ii: http://amzn.to/2yqtM6B Rode Video Micro: http://amzn.to/2wTguTM Joby Gorilla Pod: http://amzn.to/1PgoY5F SanDisk 16GB Extreme Pro: http://amzn.to/25KEErs SOCIAL MEDIA & TRAVEL BLOGS AUDREY: blog: http://thatbackpacker.com/ instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thatbackpacker/ facebook: https://www.facebook.com/thatbackpacker twitter: https://twitter.com/ThatBackpacker SAMUEL: blog: http://nomadicsamuel.com/ facebook: https://www.facebook.com/nomadicsamuel twitter: https://twitter.com/NomadicSamuel instagram: https://www.instagram.com/nomadicsamuel/ Japanese Baseball Game Experience Video Transcript: One thing we had to do in Japan, is experience a Japanese baseball game. As a spectator, baseball in Japan is different - very, very different and in this video we’re going to show you a few reasons why! Good evening good evening guys. Hello hello. Today is baseball (野球) game day. It is baseball in Japan. Yeah. We re going to be watching a Japanese Baseball Game. And it is our first time ever to do that. We are watching one of the one of two local Osaka teams. They are called the Hanshin Tigers (阪神タイガース). And we just arrived at Koshien stadium (阪神甲子園球場). As you can see I ve already picked up a new hat. Fancy. I m loving it and it was so easy to get our tickets. We bought them online this morning. Yes. We just had to go on and scan in with the barcode. Yeah. At a machine they spitted them out. They gave us real tickets. Yeah. And it was like I think they were it was 2,500 Yen so probably like $23 US dollars or something like that. So super affordable and we ve also arrived with appetites so I think our first order of business is going to be to grab some food. TEAM SPIRIT If you’re going to support your team, you have to look the part. I picked up a Hanshin Tigers hat, but there were far more dedicated fans with really clever outfits. (Anthem playing) Woah! We re just about to start. (Fans cheering and music playing) FOOD Next up, food. Forget popcorn and hot dogs! Japanese baseball games offer an extensive food selection at great prices. It’s good to arrive hungry! Guys check out all of the different unique things you can get here at a Japanese baseball game. There is an extensive menu. We ve got sushi, we have fried noodles, we have octopus balls. A bit unusual but very tasty. So we got some snacks for the game. Yes. We got pizza. This is teriyaki pizza guys. Oh. And over here this one was really funny looking if I can get it open. Check out that. A hotdog pizza. Yeah. It has got a hot dog and tomatoes. Yeah. How is that pizza? It is pretty good. I m so hungry. Wow. So tell us what have you found now? So moving on to round 2 of dessert. I have found a chocolate churros. Yes. And inside of that is an ice cream. There is whipping cream and this is uh basically a pancake. Like a crepe. A stuffed dessert. Stuffed pancake. Wow. Only at a Japanese Baseball Game. Indeed. BEER If you want to buy beer, you wave down the ‘uriko’, which are the women who carry beer kegs on their backs. The beer at the games is surprisingly affordable too. CHEER When it comes to Japanese baseball (野球), something fascinating is that each player has their own unique song and the crowds will sing and dance when they’re up to bat. (Cheering and music) PLAY Even if you’re not a baseball fan, it’s worth attending a Japanese baseball game for the atmosphere. The game is exciting, but the crowd’s energy steals the show. Fun fact: games can end in a tie. That baseball game was a lot of fun. If you come to Japan you definitely have to go to a Japanese Baseball Game. This is part of our Travel in Japan video series showcasing Japanese food, Japanese culture and Japanese cuisine. Music by Artlist: https://artlist.io/Audrey-184699

Join us for a Japanese Apartment Tour in Osaka, Japan as we showcase our airbnb rental that we stayed in for just over a week. Before coming to Japan we had this preconceived idea that all of our accommodations in Japan would be tiny and expensive. I suppose we thought of our experience in cities like Hong Kong and Singapore and assumed we d be cramped for most of our trip. Surprisingly we found not only larger apartments that we expected but prices that were very reasonable and conveniently located nearby metro stations. Our Osaka apartment was in a great location (stone throw away from a metro), was quite spacious and was inexpensive. The fascinating thing about Japanese apartments is that space efficiency is maximized in a way you don t see outside of Asia in Europe or in North America. For example, sliding doors that don t take up space, chairs that can stored under tables and a bed big enough that a suitcase can fit underneath. Overall, we d say our apartment in Osaka, Japan was excellent value, comfortable and located just perfect for our trip. We d highly recommend this place: AirBnB: https://www.airbnb.ca/rooms/24480665 Get $34 OFF: https://www.airbnb.ca/c/abergner9?s=8 GEAR WE USE Panasonic GH5: http://amzn.to/2yqTUyi Canon G7X ii: http://amzn.to/2yqtM6B Rode Video Micro: http://amzn.to/2wTguTM Joby Gorilla Pod: http://amzn.to/1PgoY5F SanDisk 16GB Extreme Pro: http://amzn.to/25KEErs SOCIAL MEDIA & TRAVEL BLOGS AUDREY: blog: http://thatbackpacker.com/ instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thatbackpacker/ facebook: https://www.facebook.com/thatbackpacker twitter: https://twitter.com/ThatBackpacker SAMUEL: blog: http://nomadicsamuel.com/ facebook: https://www.facebook.com/nomadicsamuel twitter: https://twitter.com/NomadicSamuel instagram: https://www.instagram.com/nomadicsamuel/ Japanese Apartment Tour in Osaka, Japan Travel Video Transcript: Today is a bit of a rainy day here in Osaka. Not ideal for sightseeing so we figured let s give you an apartment tour of our place here in the city. We ve been staying here for about a week and we got this place for $30 US dollars a night. That is a steal for Japan. Like that is so budget friendly in my opinion. We re going to go upstairs and we re going to give you the grand tour. We made it to our floor. First things first we ve got a little hook for our umbrella. Everyone keeps their umbrellas outside. No one takes them. That is wonderful. " We are inside the apartment and if you ve been traveling in Asia you know that no shoes are allowed inside the house. This is the area where you take off your dirty shoes and then you have this little cupboard. You ve got your cupboard for all of the shoes. Little shoe rack. You put your shoes in. This is our bathroom and it has three different sections. It is the largest Japanese bathroom I ve ever seen. When we were looking at properties I was actually kind of surprised by the size of it. We are now inside the bathroom and this first section here it basically has a washing machine. A large sink, a mirror. This is where you brush your teeth. Get ready in the morning. Then over here behind this frosted glass door we have our shower and our bathtub. Now I just had a shower so the floor is soaking wet. I m going to put on my flip flops. Flips flops. Outside. Basically you have a bathtub. It is a short bathtub. You have to be shorter than me I feel to like stretch out your legs. Definitely shorter than me. And then we also have a shower head. You shower in this section. The floor gets wet. And then basically the water goes through this drain down here. It drains there. Something I ve got to mention is the water pressure is awesome here. And then we have our toilet. It is compartmentalized. It is small. It is little but it has got everything you need. And I need to show you this. When you flush the toilet. So this is the toilet handle. You can wash your hands and like the water you are using to wash your hands is used to fill the tank. So you are not wasting any water. That is genius. That is a wrap for our Osaka apartment tour. I hope you guys enjoyed that and that you have an idea of what to expect in the city. I think there are some really budget friendly properties when we were looking there were a lot of places that were listed for like 30 or 40 dollars a night for like private apartments. We found this place on airbnb. This is part of our Travel in Japan video series showcasing Japanese food, Japanese culture and Japanese cuisine. Music by Artlist: https://artlist.io/Audrey-184699

This fungus lives on your scalp and may affect the genes you express. Check out Head & Shoulders research on getting rid of dandruff: https://ve42.co/HS Animation by Pindex: https://ve42.co/pindex When I started this project, I wasn t sure what caused dandruff and I also didn t think much science would go into making a shampoo like Head & Shoulders. So what I learned really surprised me: There are hundreds of scientists working on this shampoo. They run crazy-sounding experiments like hanging hair near Tokyo highways to understand how real-world environments deposit dirt on hair. They use sophisticated scientific techniques like electron microscopes, nuclear magnetic resonance and gene sequencing to study dandruff on the molecular level. In fact they sequenced the entire genome of Malassezia globosa in 2002, one year after the human genome project. Their findings are published in international refereed journals. What they have found is that the Malassezia fungi create free fatty acids as byproducts of their digestion, which for some people create irritation and lead to hyper-proliferation of skin cells, flaking, histamines, inflammatory cytokines, and blood proteins reaching the surface of the skin. These findings indicate the unhealthiness of dandruff scalp and suggest a possible remedy - controlling the metabolism of the Malassezia fungi. This is achieved using different active ingredients in different products and different parts of the world, including zinc pyrithione, selenium sulfide, and piroctone olamine. With the reduction of irritants, the scalp actually expresses different genes, producing a signature more similar to a non-dandruff baseline scalp.
