One of the fanciest foods you can serve at dinner is the exclusive white gold caviar. Harvested at a fish farm in Austria by a father-son duo, the caviar comes from a rare albino sturgeon. The process can take eight to ten years to complete—and the Gruell family are the only fish breeders in the world who know how. The preparation process is just as intricate: the roe is dehydrated, finely grated and mixed with dusting of 22-karat edible gold leaf to create a truly unique, luxurious and bespoke delicacy. So how much would it cost to enjoy this luxurious dish? A cool $113,630. This Great Big Story was made possible by Hennessy Paradis Imperial. One of our favorite homes gets decorated for the holidays with the help of designer Susan Burns of Susan Burns Designs. See how she uses natural materials for a simple and relaxed holiday decor scheme. Susan went for an organic approach using pine cones, greenery and fruit in place of glitzy decor. She started by trimming the Christmas tree with natural ornaments made of wood. Next, Susan created a rustic table centerpiece and dressed up the plate rack with fresh greens and a wreath. The dining room is kept simple with mini cypress trees, while the living room has hits of greenery and candles that glow with warmth. The porch is transformed into a cozy outdoor oasis complete with a garland wrapped around the railing and festive pillows and throws. Scientists have combined ultrasound, viruses and synthetic drugs to control regions of the brain. Check out Skillshare: https://skl.sh/veritasium (first 500 get 2 months free) Special thanks to Prof. Mikhail Shapiro and Dr. Jerzy Szablowski: http://shapirolab.caltech.edu Human brains are complicated - the most complicated thing in the known universe, many people say. So far we understand little - just that certain regions of the brain appear to be involved in certain activities and certain disorders. In extreme cases this has led to the practice of removing sections of the brain, or using electrodes or optical fibers to control activation rates. What is unique about this approach is it offers a way to turn on and off specific brain regions without invasive surgery. It has promise because it combines existing technologies: micro-bubbles, ultrasound, synthetic viruses, and synthetic drugs to achieve this goal. Island hopping in Coron Palawan Philippines! In this travel vlog I join Exploring with Cody in a Filipino adventure to visit Kayangan Lake, Twin Lagoon, Barracuda lake, and Skeleton Wreck. These incredible islands have been called the most beautiful in the world. If you plan to travel South East Asia, this has to be on your bucket list. It is definitely one of the best places to travel in the Philippines We had a couple days between scuba diving the shipwrecks of Coron Bay, and exploring El Nido, Palawan. We decided to spend it Island hopping in Coron with our friend Jette. We wanted to do the tour a little bit differently, so we organized a private boat for us three, and left an hour earlier than other boats. This paid off in the end, because these islands are getting very very busy, and we were able to miss most of the crowds. #FearlessandFar #Coron #Palawan #Philippines My behind the scenes videos are here! https://www.patreon.com/fearlessandfar ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ♥ Friends ♥ Exploring with Cody: https://www.youtube.com/user/sircodybuffinton ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ♫ Music ♫ You x You - Ooy Shlow Motion Pt. 1 - Oomie Limitless - AGST Walk the Path - Digital Camel (http://www.epidemicsound.com) Rarebeat - Fashion Beat Slow Motion Big Beat (www.AudioJungle.net) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ☎ Say Hi Here ☎ ✧ Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/fearlessandfar ✧ Tweetz: http://www.twitter.com/fearlessandfar ✧ Facebook Fanpage: http://www.facebook.com/fearlessandfar ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ✯ Experiences over Possessions ✯

Join us for a day trip from Tokyo where we visit Mount Takao (高尾山) to enjoy some hiking and a green escape from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo. We enjoy some unique Japanese street food snacks that you can purchase while visiting Mount Takao (高尾山). After researching Tokyo day trip one of the most interesting options was going to Mount Takao. We had spent quite a bit of time in both Osaka and Tokyo and we were both craving a day out in nature. In order for us to get to Mount Takao we took the Keio Line directly from Shinjuku station which only cost 381 Yen and took 50 minutes. Upon arriving we decided to grab a bite to eat opting for Soba noodles and udon. To get up Mount Takao you have three different options. You can hike the entire way, go on a cable car or take a lift. The cable car and lift are both 480 Yen and we decided to go with the cable car on the way up and lift on the way down. In hindsight we feel the lift is a much better option for taking in the scenery without the crowds. To hike to the top of Mount Takao it only took 40 minutes and we got to visit some fascinating temples along the way before being rewarded with incredible views. On the way back we decided to try some unique Japanese street food snacks that you can find at Mount Takao. We had the following: 1) Tenguyaki (Angry bird shaped shells stuffed with red bean paste for 140 Yen 2) Ice cream with vanilla and a nutty orange flavor in a special cone 3) Matcha cheese tart with red bean paste - 250 Yen each. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our day trip to Mount Takao from Tokyo and would highly recommend it to all of you guys. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * GEAR WE USE Panasonic GH5: http://amzn.to/2yqTUyi Canon G7X ii: http://amzn.to/2yqtM6B Rode Video Micro: http://amzn.to/2wTguTM Joby Gorilla Pod: http://amzn.to/1PgoY5F SanDisk 16GB Extreme Pro: http://amzn.to/25KEErs * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * SOCIAL MEDIA & TRAVEL BLOGS AUDREY: blog: http://thatbackpacker.com/ instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thatbackpacker/ facebook: https://www.facebook.com/thatbackpacker twitter: https://twitter.com/ThatBackpacker SAMUEL: blog: http://nomadicsamuel.com/ facebook: https://www.facebook.com/nomadicsamuel twitter: https://twitter.com/NomadicSamuel instagram: https://www.instagram.com/nomadicsamuel/ * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Tokyo Day Trip to Hike Mount Takao (高尾山) + Japanese Street Food Snacks Travel Video Transcript: Greetings from Tokyo, Japan. Yes, good morning. It is time for a day trip today. We ve been spending the last two weeks in Tokyo surrounded by sky scrappers and concrete and we thought we need a nature escape. Yeah. And Sam has been talking about Mount Takao (高尾山) I feel like for weeks. For days. It has been a long time. I ve been wanting to go hiking. I ve been wanting to going to see the green side of Japan so yeah very pumped to be doing that today. So yeah that is the plan today. Um Mount Takao (高尾山) is about an hour west of Tokyo. So not too far and we re planning to spend the day there. We have now made it to Shinjuku (新宿区) and we re looking for the Keio Line. We just got our tickets. You can buy round trip tickets or one way. We want to take the cable car up and the lift down. So yeah we paid 480 Yen per person. Now we have to walk about 40 minutes to the mountain top. But along the way they have a whole bunch of little shops selling ice creams and little street food snacks. And you have souvenirs stands. Um so yeah it can take plenty of breaks along the way. And also so far the path has not been very steep at all. So yeah it is just a pleasant walk. It is nice and shaded. We re in the middle of the forest and I m liking this. It is a nice little escape from Tokyo. That is a wrap for our day trip to Mount Takao (高尾山). We really had a good time here. I have to say. Like not just nature but also the different modes of transportation that you can take up and down the mountain. Like the chairlift and the cable car. Sampling all of the food it was just a really fun day out in nature. It was relaxing. It was tasty. So yeah if you guys are spending a bit of time in Tokyo and you feel like you need a city break. This trip is super easy to plan. You can do it on your own and I would highly recommend it. This is part of our Travel in Japan video series showcasing Japanese food, Japanese culture and Japanese attractions. Music by Artlist: https://artlist.io/Audrey-184699

Ask This Old House plumbing and heating expert Richard Trethewey shows how to replace a main shut off valve that is not closing properly SUBSCRIBE to This Old House: http://bit.ly/SubscribeThisOldHouse Time: 1 hour Cost: $25 Skill Level: Moderate Tools List for Replacing a Main Shutoff Valve: Tubing cutter Torch Fitting brush Shopping List: Ball valve Plumber’s sand paper Flux Solder Steps: 1. If the indoor shut off valve is not stopping water flow, the local water department has access to a shut off valve near the street and can be called to shut off water while work is performed. 2. With the water off, open the faucets and showers in the building to drain down any water left in the pipes. 3. Use sandpaper to clean the main water line before cutting into it. 4. Cut into the water line using a tubing cutter. When the line is broken, there may be residual water inside that needs to drain out. 5. Use the fitting brush to clean the inside of the valve. 6. Apply flux to the outside of the pipe and the inside of the valve. 7. Hold the torch to the fitting until the flux bubbles, then touch the solder to the pipe opposite the flame. If it’s the correct temperature, the solder should melt and fill in all gaps. 8. Call the water utility to turn back on the water. Resources: Ball valves and soldering tools are available at home centers. We started this YouTube channel to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling! So we extended our 1 year trip to now FOUR years :) Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before 2020! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)

In this video we experience bullet train sushi in Tokyo, Japan for the first time. We had already tried conveyor belt sushi in Osaka, where we could grab plates of sushi as they travelled down, but this was our first time ordering exactly the sushi we wanted and having it fly out and stop right in front of us. It was really easy for us to order the sushi with the touch screen menus and aside from just nigiri, maki and sashimi they also had an extensive noodle and soup section which we really appreciated. The prices of everything was very reasonable and we found the quality for what we paid offered excellent value. All in all we tried the following: 1) Complimentary match green tea (self service) 2) Tuna and salmon nigiri rolls 3) Grilled salmon rolls 4) Salted sardine sushi 5) Shrimp sushi 6) Salmon nigiri with lots of mayo (not our favorite) 7) Udon soup 8) Miso soup 9) Salmon rolls with chopped chives and chili oil There are quite a few bullet train sushi restaurants in Tokyo, but we went to "Uobei Shibuya Dogenzaka" (魚べい) which is located in Shibuya neighborhood of Tokyo, Japan: Uobei Shibuya Dogenzaka Conveyor belt sushi restaurant Address: Japan, 〒150-0043 Tokyo, Shibuya, Dogenzaka, 2 Chome−29−11 第六セントラルビル1階 Hours: Monday to Friday (11a.m.–12a.m.) Saturday & Sunday (10:30a.m.–12a.m.) Phone: +81 3-3462-0241 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * GEAR WE USE Panasonic GH5: http://amzn.to/2yqTUyi Canon G7X ii: http://amzn.to/2yqtM6B Rode Video Micro: http://amzn.to/2wTguTM Joby Gorilla Pod: http://amzn.to/1PgoY5F SanDisk 16GB Extreme Pro: http://amzn.to/25KEErs * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * SOCIAL MEDIA & TRAVEL BLOGS AUDREY: blog: http://thatbackpacker.com/ instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thatbackpacker/ facebook: https://www.facebook.com/thatbackpacker twitter: https://twitter.com/ThatBackpacker SAMUEL: blog: http://nomadicsamuel.com/ facebook: https://www.facebook.com/nomadicsamuel twitter: https://twitter.com/NomadicSamuel instagram: https://www.instagram.com/nomadicsamuel/ * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Bullet Train Sushi in Tokyo, Japan | Uobei Shibuya Dogenzaka (魚べい) 🍣 Travel Food Transcript: We have shown you conveyor belt sushi (Kaiten-zushi - 回転寿司) but today we re going to take you to bullet train sushi (魚べい) . The premise is basically the same. The sushi comes out on a conveyor belt but at top speed. So basically we re going to have these little screens in front of us. We can select the type of sushi we want and then it is going to come flying our way and stop right in front of us and we can feast like kings and queens so let s go. And we ve got Rob again to join us. Exciting times. I m looking forward to it. I ve done a lot of conveyor belt sushi. Yeah. But this whole bullet train sushi is something different. New experience for us. Anything with sushi is good. It ll be great man. So we ve just been given our numbers. We are 70, 71, 72. So we are now inside the bullet train sushi restaurant. We are soaking wet. We got rained on hard. But I feel like sushi is going to make this better. Alright so this is the setup we have. A little tablet in front of us with a menu and then we also have a menu up here with lots of pictures. Great for foreigners and up top we have our tea cups, our little bowls for soy sauce and also take-away boxes. We ve been here for a little bit what are you first impressions? This place is amazing. I love how efficient it is. It is also it has just got so many different things you can choose from. Yeah. It is a little weak in the roll department but it makes up for it in the fact that you can get ramen and udon and all sorts of things. Yeah. Very reasonably priced. It comes out fast. It is a fun place. That was a wonderful lunch. We ve got stacks of plates and bowls. And warm plates and cups. So yeah we ate really well. I m stuffed. It was so much fun coming to bullet train sushi. I thought only conveyor belt sushi (Kaiten-zushi - 回転寿司) was a thing. But seeing it fly past you to other people like that was really cool. Yeah and there is a lot of people who are here enjoying lunch now. So this place is very popular. So this place is located in Shibuya (魚べい) if you also want to come visit. It has been a really fun experience here in Tokyo so I would highly recommend it. This is part of our Travel in Japan video series showcasing Japanese food, Japanese culture and Japanese cuisine.
