When moved on the roads, it perfectly meets the legal height requirements but once parked up, the roof of the home pops up to create standing room in the sleeping loft. I grew up with the two technologies (film and video) in parallel and to me they always seemed like two ways of achieving the same ends: recording and replaying moving images. But their histories are quite distinct. Film was always a way to capture moving images for later replaying. Video started out as a way to transfer images from one place to another instantaneously. This dates back to the first fax machine, mechanical TV, live broadcast tv and ultimately videotapes. This history focuses on the early decades of video and not the more recent switches to chip cameras and solid state storage. Maybe that s a story for another day. Last year I travelled for 3 months as a foreigner in the Philippines before concluding my filipino travel vlog series with the Fighter Boys trip with Kyle Jennermann of Becoming Filipino, Daniel Marsh, Finn Snow, Bret Maverick. The plan was to start in Cagayan de Oro and travel the island of Mindanao for 2 weeks to bring awareness to a misunderstood area of the Philippines. This Philippines travel vlog kicks off on Camiguin Island to hike volcano Hibok-Hibok. Last time I was on Camiguin, we explored the Sunken Cemetery, and saw the Giant Clam Sanctuary. I didn t get a chance to visit White Island or hike the volcano. So... Bonus! A few things to note. Hibok-Hibok is closed right now. El Nido has made it too dry to safely summit without damaging the wildlife. Please check before you come. This was a specially organized trek to open a third trail to the summit. It was a hard one!
