Join us for a delicious Korean buffet and first impressions of Busan, Korea as we say goodbye to Seoul heading to Korea s second biggest city by high-speed train known locally as KTX. With a journey of only slightly more than 2 hours, we arrived in Busan hungry and ready to chow down on some delicious Korean food. Our Korean buffet lunch featured classic Korean dishes we love such as tteokbokki along with a massive salad bar, barbecue section and western food options. It honestly was a very impressive selection of food. Aside from several plates of food, David and I enjoyed craft beer from Jeju. Overall, it was a fantastic meal and I probably ate a bit more than I should have. Afterwards, we visited Busan heading over to the most colorful area of the city known as Gamcheon Culture Village (감천문화마을) where we had a chance to walk around for a while before finishing off with cold drinks and some of the best views of Busan. It was almost as if the program designed by KTO knew exactly what I had missed out on before. Obviously, a huge highlight from the two weeks I spent revisiting Korea was the food. I feasted on all of my favorite Korean dishes including Korean barbecue, dolsot bibimbap, haemul pajeon, tteokbokki, bulgogi, kimbap and many others. I can honestly say that Korean food is world-class and is one of my top 5 favorite cuisines in the world. Aside from trying familiar dishes, I had the opportunity to sample raw Korean seafood for the first time. While visiting Seoul, highlights included going to Gyeongbokgung Palace, Namsan Seoul Tower, Jogyesa Temple and Hongdae. As one of the biggest cities in the world, I barely scratched the surface of things to do in Seoul. Spending extended time in Busan was my favorite part about the trip with top highlights including a Korean temple stay, fresh fish markets and a Korean baseball game. It was from Busan that we ended up taking a day-trip to Daegu where we enjoyed a traditional Korean market and tried Galbi-Jjim for the first time. That’s how he got the idea to steal a different identity that would help him become a teacher. - Once ol’ Freddy was all studied-up, he started a new life teaching psychology at a university in Erie, Pennsylvania, under Dr. French’s name. - Being a medical assistant wasn’t the job for him, but he did acquire a lot of medical knowledge that would benefit him later on. - Demara even became friends with the local Sherriff Frank Tamblin. Perhaps he was living under the philosophy of “keep your enemies closer” but that didn’t stop the police from investigating this ubiquitous Dr. French. - His new persona was Dr. Cecil Hamann, a biologist from Kentucky. Using this guy’s credentials, Fred got a job as a research biologist at a Harvard-affiliated hospital. - Then Demara became friends with Dr. Joseph Cyr. Not long after that, a certain Dr. Cyr would be enlisted as a surgeon for the Canadian Navy. (That, of course, was our imposter Fred Demara with the doc’s papers!) - After the Canadian authorities had finally discovered Demara’s true Identity, they also found out about the other identities he’d used. - In 1955, he re-appeared in Texas under the guise of Dr. Benjamin Jones. He worked as a professor for a while but moved on to become a prison guard. - He had to give up the fraudster lifestyle due to his health. He became a chaplain in a hospital in California and went on to live a quiet life. - Nobody really knows why Fred Demara had spent so many years stealing identities. Perhaps it was the rush, the adventure, or a thirst for something new? Join us for Korea DMZ Spy Tour as we visit the border between South Korea and North Korea Border before eating Korean Barbecue Duck (오리 ) for lunch. David s Channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/Davidsbeenhere For the DMZ tour we first visited historically significant parts of Seoul where North Korean commandos had infiltrated as an assassination attempt of the president of South Korea. Later we visited Imjingak Peace Park where we checked out numerous exhibits and had views of North Korea from a high vantage point. The final part of our Korea DMZ tour was to visit a South Korean DMZ military camp. Overall, I would highly recommend the tour. The Korean Duck Barbecue was absolutely delicious. With communal seating, we gathered around a grill where the meat was first cooked, flipped and then sliced into pieces with scissors. To eat it Korean style, we grabbed a piece of meat and put it on top of lettuce before adding rice, onions and ssamjang sauce. This really gave it some extra kick, spice, and juiciness. Its biggest advantage is that it naturally looks really shiny. - 1B hair, on the other hand, is kinda thick and has great volume near the roots, so it looks way more full than 1A hair type. - 1C hair is really thick and has impressive volume. However, it s almost impossible to curl! This type is pretty common among Asian women. - 2A hair is right in between wavy and straight. Without any styling, it tends to form weak S-shaped strands, curling a bit at the ends. - 2B hair has way more visible and prominent S-shaped curls. It can be slightly frizzy as well, adhering to the shape of your head. - 2C hair combines wavy and curly hair. It s very frizzy, quickly curls up in humid environments, and has tons of volume and generally thicker waves. - 3A hair is shiny and great at taking any form you want it to. This type has a very definite S-shape which makes it appear full and healthy. - 3B type has a smaller curl pattern than 3A, ranging from spiral-like curls to tight corkscrews. It also has a combination texture. - 3C hair is actually thinner than 3A and 3B but its curls are smaller which makes it appear thicker. Plus, it s very tight, almost to the point of being kinky. - 4A hair has an S-shaped pattern if you stretch it, but usually it s just tight coils. It tends to be thin, brittle, and fragile. - 4B hair bends with really sharp angles and often has a Z-shape and zigzag-like curls. Just like 4A, this type is pretty fragile as well. - And 4C type is the hardest to style and take care of. It doesn t have a definite curl pattern which makes it look awesome but extremely hard to comb. - Straight and soft hair like yours gets dirty and oily pretty quickly, so try to pick the shampoos that have curative clay as one of the components. It will make your hair stay clean longer. - If you fall into the second hair group, your hair care should be completely different. Your main task is to make your hair look thick without it looking crazy and messy. Try to look for shampoos and conditioners with a moisturizing effect. - Curly-haired guys and girls from hair group number 3 have pretty much the same end goal as people with type 2 hair – keeping their curls hydrated. - And, finally, type 4, it s your turn! Your hair doesn t get oily that easily, so unlike hair type number one, you don t have to wash it that often. The softer your shampoo and conditioner are, the better.
