We are Samuel and Audrey, a travel vlogging couple from Canada. In this travel channel we share our travel and food vlogs while touring the world. We had the privilege of traveling around Argentina for nearly 3 months from January- April 2019 on a trip covering a large section of the country. We kicked things off with several days in Buenos Aires where we were joined by Audrey s parents eating and sightseeing around some of our favourite neighbourhoods in the city. We then flew from Buenos Aires to Cordoba where we spent a couple of weeks in the Sierras of Cordoba visiting both La Cumbrecita and Villa General Belgrano with highlights including hiking and delicious German and Swiss cuisine. From Cordoba, we then travelled a considerable distance on an overnight bus to Mar Del Plata just in time for a special food festival called Feria Masticar featuring the best of Argentine food and wine. We spent several days enjoying beaches and seafood before heading south to Patagonia to visit the province of Chubut. While on the Atlantic side of Chubut we visited Puerto Madryn, Peninsula Valdes, Trelew, Gaiman and Dolavon. To summarize our time in this area, we had incredibly close encounters with wildlife including penguins, sea lions and guanacos while also experiencing Welsh culture in Argentina. Our time in Patagonia continued as we headed from east to west trading more barren landscapes for thick forests, impressive mountains and magnificent lakes. We spent significant time in both Esquel and El Bolson with day trips to visit Trevelin, Parque Nacional Los Alerces, Cholila and Lago Puelo. Highlights included sailing, hiking, riding vintage trains and partaking in the national asado festival. We finished visiting Patagonia with time spent in Villa La Angostura, San Martin De Los Andes and Bariloche where we enjoyed more stunning scenery and hiking. On our way back to Buenos Aires, we took the Tren Patagonia to Las Grutas before meeting up with Audrey s dad again. To finish off our trip in Argentina, we spent more time in the capital and later Mendoza where we got to experience wine tourism to its fullest extent. Overall, we had an amazing time travelling around Argentina having only scratched the surface of this vast and diverse country. Have you ever wondered if there are things an airplane simply can’t or won’t do? It turns out that airplanes have strict rules regarding their pathways in the sky – for safety reasons, and for the sake of staying friendly with continental neighbors. Some of the places they’re not allowed to fly over might surprise you! For example, planes won’t fly directly over the Earth’s poles and over the Pacific Ocean. You can t see planes over Tibet and over the City of Mecca. The airspace over Walt Disney World and Disneyland is also a no-fly zone. The same applies to Area 51 but we don t know why. This is largely due to the Himalayan Mountains. First of all, if a plane has to land in an emergency situation, mountains aren’t exactly the ideal impromptu runway. - There’s a strong magnetic field in Makkah. As mentioned earlier, a magnetic field can cause navigational problems for pilots. - George Washington’s House is considered a National Historic Landmark, so to prevent further damage to the historic home, even from air vibrations in the sky, the airspace above George and Martha’s house was declared a no-fly zone. - In 2003, the Disney Corporation put “temporary” no-fly zones over both their parks, but somehow, they just stuck. - Due to the many presidents and world-wide VIPs that visit Camp David, the airspace above the whole compound is a no-fly zone for safety reasons. - Kennedy Space Center in Florida is a no-fly zone. There’s a lot of NASA and U.S. Airforce activity that goes on here – pretty important work. So safety for all parties is the top priority. - Buckingham Palace is meant to protect the Queen and the royal family, so of course a no-fly zone was established above it. - The Indian government place a no-fly zone above the area of the Taj Mahal in 2006 to safeguard this important historical building and the many tourists who come to witness its majesty. The Mariana trench begins at about 19,700 ft deep. It’s both the least explored and the most fascinating area for the scientists and adventurers alike. The Challenger Deep is the bottom of the Mariana trench, and its depth is 35,853 ft. Few people have been here, and very little is known about it yet. But scientists aren’t going to stop, and there’s hope we’ll soon find out what secrets the depths of the ocean hold. Ready? Let’s dive! Just imagine the creature with eyes the size of frisbees! - The Midnight Zone. The pressure here is so huge that, if you somehow end up being here without a submersible, you’ll simply be crushed in a couple of seconds. - 4,200 ft down below, and we see the ferocious great white sharks — these ultimate predators feel great at such a depth. - See those huge nets? That’s because we’re now at the depth of 4,900 ft where the “catch-all” fishing method is used. - At 6,000 ft, if we were in the Grand Canyon, we’d be sitting at its lowest and deepest point. - Now, if we’re really careful, then at the depth of 6,600 ft, we’ll be able to see the black dragonfish — a nightmarish creature that dwells in the deep and dark parts of the ocean. - At 7,400 ft we’ll be saying goodbye to sperm whales — this is the deepest point they can dive. - At 15,000 ft, the monsters out of your worst nightmares pop up. - The black swallower can swallow prey that’s twice its size! - And now the deepest and darkest part of the ocean begins: we’re diving into the Mariana trench. Officially, it begins at about 19,700 ft deep. - Going lower and deeper, you won’t see any other kind of fish or vertebrate animal whatsoever — the pressure is just too much for such creatures.
