Come join us for tantalizing Argentine Food as we sample Patagonian Lamb and Mushroom risotto in Puerto Madryn, Argentina at restaurant Parador Yoaquina. Located just a few blocks away from our rental apartment, we immediately enjoyed the laid back vibe, friendly dogs and close proximity to the beach. For lunch we enjoyed Malbec red wine from Estancia Mendoza. The Patagonian lamb was one of our favorite Argentine meals of our entire trip and the mushroom risotto a close second. We are Samuel and Audrey, a travel vlogging couple from Canada. In this travel channel we share our travel and food vlogs while touring the world. We had the privilege of traveling around Argentina for nearly 3 months from January- April 2019 on a trip covering a large section of the country. We kicked things off with several days in Buenos Aires where we were joined by Audrey s parents eating and sightseeing around some of our favourite neighbourhoods in the city. We then flew from Buenos Aires to Cordoba where we spent a couple of weeks in the Sierras of Cordoba visiting both La Cumbrecita and Villa General Belgrano with highlights including hiking and delicious German and Swiss cuisine. From Cordoba, we then travelled a considerable distance on an overnight bus to Mar Del Plata just in time for a special food festival called Feria Masticar featuring the best of Argentine food and wine. We spent several days enjoying beaches and seafood before heading south to Patagonia to visit the province of Chubut. While on the Atlantic side of Chubut we visited Puerto Madryn, Peninsula Valdes, Trelew, Gaiman and Dolavon. To summarize our time in this area, we had incredibly close encounters with wildlife including penguins, sea lions and guanacos while also experiencing Welsh culture in Argentina. Our time in Patagonia continued as we headed from east to west trading more barren landscapes for thick forests, impressive mountains and magnificent lakes. We spent significant time in both Esquel and El Bolson with day trips to visit Trevelin, Parque Nacional Los Alerces, Cholila and Lago Puelo. Highlights included sailing, hiking, riding vintage trains and partaking in the national asado festival. We finished visiting Patagonia with time spent in Villa La Angostura, San Martin De Los Andes and Bariloche where we enjoyed more stunning scenery and hiking. On our way back to Buenos Aires, we took the Tren Patagonia to Las Grutas before meeting up with Audrey s dad again. To finish off our trip in Argentina, we spent more time in the capital and later Mendoza where we got to experience wine tourism to its fullest extent. Overall, we had an amazing time travelling around Argentina having only scratched the surface of this vast and diverse country. This is a travel guide for visiting Hong Kong headed into 2020. In this episode of our Russia travel vlog series riding the Trans Siberian Railway, we arrive in the Capital of Tartarstan, Kazan! scuba On this leg of our great trip across Russia, we stop at The Blue Lake, a freezing pit of freshwater. Here, we learn about the famous Russian Walrus, or морж. These legendary beasts are brave men (or women) who polar dip in freezing water. While there is no snow this time of year, this lake is fed from ground water deep in the earth, and is a constant 5C. After unthawing, we explore Kazan, and try traditional Tartarstan cuisine. This includes Chak-Chak, a famous dessert (so famous that there is a museum... we went.) We end the day at the Kazan Kremlin, a beautiful complex featuring one of the nicest mosques I ve ever seen. Come join us in Puerto Madryn, Argentina for a mouth watering Argentine Seafood lunch feast! Our first full day of visiting Puerto Madryn included delicious Argentinian seafood and exploring some quirky museums. We kick things off with a leisurely morning beach stroll on a beautiful sunny day in Puerto Madryn before heading to the Museum of the Man and the Sea (Museo Provincial del Hombre y el Mar). This free museum, dedicated to local wildlife (on land and in the sea), was a favorite of both of ours.The most interesting things we saw inside was a giant calamari and whale skeleton. For lunch we headed over to El Náutico Cantina for a delicious seafood lunch that included pickled calamari, tuna salad, fried seafood rice and salmon with roquefort cheese, red wine and white wine! It s likely to loosen the cords a bit, and you ll be able to remove the ties. - If you find yourself with frostbite, take care of it as soon as you can. Despite the popular misconception, do NOT pour hot water on the damaged skin – it’ll make things much worse! - If you run out of water in the wilderness, your top priority is to find a source of it. Keep in mind that water always runs downhill. - If you get lost in the wilderness and have no idea what direction to choose, find a stream or a small creek. Follow it until it merges with a larger river. - Dip the matches into hot wax and let them dry. It’ll make them waterproof, and to use one, you ll just have to scrape the wax off the match head. - The heat coming from your fire will cause the rocks to expand. Eventually, they’ll give in, and you may get trapped in a rockfall or a landslide. - If you find yourself surrounded by snow and with no drinking water on hand, eating snow is NOT the best way to rehydrate. In fact, it’ll most likely lead to further dehydration! - If you’re restrained and lying in a puddle of mud or muddy water, arch your back. This posture will help the air get to your lungs faster and more easily. - As soon as you realize you re lost in the woods during a hike, immediately stop. It may sound counterintuitive, but the best solution isn t to keep walking. - There’s an "Urban Survival Myth" that it s safe to drink saltwater in small amounts. But in reality, such a delusion can have very dramatic consequences. - When you go on a hike or decide to spend several days camping, pack your bag with some extra stuff for unpredicted situations. - Opt for products that don t weigh a lot, like dried fruit and peanut butter or beef jerky.
