Come join us for another travel blog from Esquel as we explore some of the best hiking in Patagonia, Argentina by showcasing hikes to Laguna La Zeta and Cerro de la Cruz. Some of the best hiking in Esquel can be done directly from just outside of the city centre. Most of the nearby hikes departing from Esquel are easy half day adventures. Our two favorites were easy hikes to Laguna La Zeta and Cerro de la Cruz. Although you can take a taxi up the hill to the trail section of Laguna La Zeta we d recommend walking to the trail section if you have the energy because you get some of the best views of Esquel along the way. Laguna La Zeta offers stunning mountain views and calm waters that are perfect for kayaking. Hiking up to Cerro de la Cruz offers you views of Esquel from the opposite direction. Although we didn t make it to the top given the strong winds we d recommend you do so with proper gear. We are Samuel and Audrey, a travel vlogging couple from Canada. In this travel channel we share our travel and food vlogs while touring the world. We had the privilege of traveling around Argentina for nearly 3 months from January- April 2019 on a trip covering a large section of the country. We kicked things off with several days in Buenos Aires where we were joined by Audrey s parents eating and sightseeing around some of our favourite neighbourhoods in the city. We then flew from Buenos Aires to Cordoba where we spent a couple of weeks in the Sierras of Cordoba. From Cordoba, we then travelled a considerable distance on an overnight bus to Mar Del Plata just in time for a special food festival called Feria Masticar featuring the best of Argentine food and wine. We spent several days enjoying beaches and seafood before heading south to Patagonia to visit the province of Chubut. While on the Atlantic side of Chubut we visited Puerto Madryn, Peninsula Valdes, Trelew, Gaiman and Dolavon. To summarize our time in this area, we had incredibly close encounters with wildlife including penguins, sea lions and guanacos while also experiencing Welsh culture in Argentina. Our time in Patagonia continued as we headed from east to west trading more barren landscapes for thick forests, impressive mountains and magnificent lakes. We spent significant time in both Esquel and El Bolson with day trips to visit Trevelin, Parque Nacional Los Alerces, Cholila and Lago Puelo. Highlights included sailing, hiking, riding vintage trains and partaking in the national asado festival. We finished visiting Patagonia with time spent in Villa La Angostura, San Martin De Los Andes and Bariloche where we enjoyed more stunning scenery and hiking. On our way back to Buenos Aires, we took the Tren Patagonia to Las Grutas before meeting up with Audrey s dad again. To finish off our trip in Argentina, we spent more time in the capital and later Mendoza where we got to experience wine tourism to its fullest extent. Overall, we had an amazing time travelling around Argentina having only scratched the surface of this vast and diverse country. This method may take a lot of bay leaves and patience, but it’s a nice natural way to send roaches packing. -You can use garlic- or onion powder, and sprinkle it in and around their favorite hangout spots. -The lemon juice will effectively repel these pests, and your kitchen will smell amazing too! -Just fill a medium-sized spray bottle with mostly vinegar, and add enough drops of peppermint essential oil so that you can smell it. Spray your kitchen and bathroom. -Neem oil keeps away a lot of insects and pests because it contains a certain chemical that’s poisonous to them. -Cockroaches and similar pests breathe through the pores of their shells and skin, so when they start crawling around in this soap, the borax will get the job done. -Put some fresh catnip leaves in a sachet – you know, those little sheer drawstring bags usually used for steeping tea – or other porous bag. Cockroaches can’t stand it. -Once you’ve put the traps together, place them in the spots where you think the roaches are coming from, like nice dark places for them to look for food and water. -The sweet sugary smell attracts roaches, so they eat the powder mixture. Once they take a drink of water, it reacts with the baking soda, and, well, let’s just say the roaches get a bad case of bubble guts. -Cut a sizable strip of duct tape off the roll, maybe about the length of your forearm. Put the strip sticky-side-up, and fold down each end so that it’s easy to pick up and dispose of later on. You’ll also need a bait. -The cockroaches will climb in to go after the bait, but they won’t be able to climb back up the slippery surface to escape. -Roaches are drawn to the smell of coffee too, so they’ll climb in after the grounds but won’t be able to get out since they’re not the greatest of swimmers. -If you try any of these natural remedies over time but it doesn’t seem to make a difference, then it’s probably high-time to call a professional! Almost 3 years ago, I visited Khao Sok National Park and I couldn’t believe that the most beautiful place in Thailand was a place that nobody knew about. This time I came back to experience Christmas in Thailand with some of my best friends and I was both excited and anxious to see if Khao Sok had remained Thailand’s best kept secret. This video was primarily filmed using the Zhiyun Weebill S which is the perfect gimbal for travellers. Incredibly lightweight but with some seriously high performance and an amazing underslung functionality to get low to the ground. We’ve managed to go hundreds of thousands of miles into space, but when it comes to the earth, we’ve barely scratched the surface. Our planet’s core is a magnificent mystery filled with secrets. It’s time to figure them out. The Earth’s inner core is an extra hot solid ball that has a radius just 30% smaller than the Moon. Scientists figured out that most of the Earth’s mass is located towards the center of our planet. The temperature of the inner core is about 9800°F. While the melting point of pure iron is about 2,800°F, at the core, its melting point is around 11,000° F. More than 80% of the core consists of one of the ten most common elements in our galaxy: iron. -In 2013, Wendy Mao and her team from Stanford discovered a possible solution for how this happened. During their experiment, molten iron slowly squeezed through the silicate rocks, and they had their answer. It took millions of years for the iron to reach the center, so it happened at a snail’s pace. -During an earthquake, shockwaves are spread through the planet. Seismologists study these vibrations and try to read the reflections on the other side. As science progressed, it turned out that picky “S-WAVES” could only go through solid material, and not liquid. So something molten was present in the center of the Earth that was preventing the vibrations from going through. -The temperature of the inner core is about 9800°F. While the melting point of pure iron is about 2,800°F, at the core, its melting point is around 11,000° F. The fluctuation in those temperatures comes from factoring in the extreme pressure the iron is exposed to at the core. -The reason it remains solid is because of the slow cooling of the outer core and its compression. The inner core spins faster than the Earth. That’s caused by the thermal activity inside our planet which creates the magnetosphere. -The first reason the Earth is still boiling is that the core has remained hot from the time our planet was formed – roughly 4.5 billion years ago. Secondly, it generates heat from the friction of the dense materials as they move. And the last reason it’s so hot is from the decay of radioactive elements. -A 2015 study from Durham University claimed that 90% of the Earth’s sulfur is in the core. When the impact happened, the Earth’s mantle melted, and some sulfur-rich liquid squeezed through the ruins and reformed it. Some of it was probably lost in space, but the rest sunk to the core.
