What is the weirdest world record ever? Guinness World Records has continued to amaze us for more than 60 years. Making it to the Guinness World Records seems like an achievement for well-trained experts. But, did you know that some records don’t require any skill or training? Yup! There are really bizarre yet creative records people have actually broken. For example, in 2012, Steve Jacobs broke the record for the most underpants someone could put on. He wore a total of 266. Come join us as we re travelling to Buenos Aires, Argentina. After an amazing trip around Patagonia it was time to return to the Buenos Aires by bus as we endured a 15 hour overnight bus ride from Las Grutas. Upon arriving we settle into our new airbnb apartment and grab a delicious burger in Buenos Aires. We haven t had a burger that juicy and delicious in a long time and to find one in Buenos Aires was a real bonus. When it comes to travel in Argentina it appears all roads do eventually lead back to Buenos Aires. Our plan is just to spend a few days here and pick-up a special guest along the way. Afterwards we ll be leaving Buenos Aires to head to Cordoba and Mendoza for the first time. We are Samuel and Audrey, a travel vlogging couple from Canada. In this travel channel we share our travel and food vlogs while touring the world. We had the privilege of traveling around Argentina for nearly 3 months from January- April 2019 on a trip covering a large section of the country. We kicked things off with several days in Buenos Aires where we were joined by Audrey s parents eating and sightseeing around some of our favourite neighbourhoods in the city. We then flew from Buenos Aires to Cordoba where we spent a couple of weeks in the Sierras of Cordoba visiting both La Cumbrecita and Villa General Belgrano with highlights including hiking and delicious German and Swiss cuisine. From Cordoba, we then travelled a considerable distance on an overnight bus to Mar Del Plata just in time for a special food festival called Feria Masticar featuring the best of Argentine food and wine. We spent several days enjoying beaches and seafood before heading south to Patagonia to visit the province of Chubut. While on the Atlantic side of Chubut we visited Puerto Madryn, Peninsula Valdes, Trelew, Gaiman and Dolavon. To summarize our time in this area, we had incredibly close encounters with wildlife including penguins, sea lions and guanacos while also experiencing Welsh culture in Argentina. Our time in Patagonia continued as we headed from east to west trading more barren landscapes for thick forests, impressive mountains and magnificent lakes. We spent significant time in both Esquel and El Bolson with day trips to visit Trevelin, Parque Nacional Los Alerces, Cholila and Lago Puelo. Highlights included sailing, hiking, riding vintage trains and partaking in the national asado festival. We finished visiting Patagonia with time spent in Villa La Angostura, San Martin De Los Andes and Bariloche where we enjoyed more stunning scenery and hiking. On our way back to Buenos Aires, we took the Tren Patagonia to Las Grutas before meeting up with Audrey s dad again. To finish off our trip in Argentina, we spent more time in the capital and later Mendoza where we got to experience wine tourism to its fullest extent. Overall, we had an amazing time travelling around Argentina having only scratched the surface of this vast and diverse country. Today we re going to take you to eat at our new favourite restaurant, Del Azul in the seaside town of Las Grutas! Oftentimes when we travel, we ask people for recommendations of places to visit, and one destination that Argentines kept mentioning is the seaside town of Las Grutas. Las Grutas is located in the province of Rio Negro in the northeastern tip of Patagonia and it’s known to have the warmest waters along the Argentine coast thanks to the tides in the San Matias Gulf. This makes it a very popular destination during the summer months! When we visited Las Grutas last year, we were surprised to find a town painted in white and blue, which reminded us a lot of Santorini. There were times when we had to do a double-take - were we on a Greek island overlooking the Aegean Sea, or in Argentina on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean?! Perhaps our one mistake visiting Las Grutas was that we arrived right at the end of the tourist season, meaning that almost all of the hotels, restaurants and tour operators were already closed. We are Samuel and Audrey, a travel vlogging couple from Canada. In this travel channel we share our travel and food vlogs while touring the world. We had the privilege of traveling around Argentina for nearly 3 months from January- April 2019 on a trip covering a large section of the country. We kicked things off with several days in Buenos Aires where we were joined by Audrey s parents eating and sightseeing around some of our favourite neighbourhoods in the city. We then flew from Buenos Aires to Cordoba where we spent a couple of weeks in the Sierras of Cordoba visiting both La Cumbrecita and Villa General Belgrano with highlights including hiking and delicious German and Swiss cuisine. From Cordoba, we then travelled a considerable distance on an overnight bus to Mar Del Plata just in time for a special food festival called Feria Masticar featuring the best of Argentine food and wine. We spent several days enjoying beaches and seafood before heading south to Patagonia to visit the province of Chubut. We finished visiting Patagonia with time spent in Villa La Angostura, San Martin De Los Andes and Bariloche where we enjoyed more stunning scenery and hiking. On our way back to Buenos Aires, we took the Tren Patagonia to Las Grutas before meeting up with Audrey s dad again. To finish off our trip in Argentina, we spent more time in the capital and later Mendoza where we got to experience wine tourism to its fullest extent. Overall, we had an amazing time travelling around Argentina having only scratched the surface of this vast and diverse country. But if you ever do, then you should hope there will never come a day when everyone in the world flushes at the exact same moment. In older buildings, especially outside the US, you can still find this kind of a drawer that opens up on a really huge vertical pipe. What s the temperature of lava? Is it hotter than magma? And what s the difference between lava and magma? Well, lava is the stuff that flows from volcanoes. Magma earns its lava status once it surfaces. It’s not just a terminology thing – that magma also loses some gases and acids when it gets its new nametag. It’s hottest when it first erupts from underground and cools down as it flows. You can make an educated guess of its temperature based on the color. It starts out bright orange and burning at about 2,000°F! Then it “cools” down to bright red (around 1,600°), dark red (1,300°), brownish-red (1,000°), and finally black once it’s hardened.
