What animals are not kept in captivity? Every 50-100 million years, about 95% of all the living species extinct on our planet. Scientists refer to this process as Holocene Extinction. And today, there are a lot of animals that are on the brink of extinction. For example, one of the rarest mammals on the planet is the Javan Rhino. Less than 70 are left, and they all live in a National Park on the island of Java, Indonesia. Of the 5 total rhino species, they re the most endangered one. Scientists aren t sure how long they live but guess somewhere between 30 – 40 years. But there are other reasons why some animals are not kept in zoos. Even if you absolutely love aquariums and have been to dozens of them, there s one sea creature you’ll never ever come across there. Not a single aquarium in the world has a great white shark. In the past, many have tried adding great whites along with other sharks in their tanks, but it never worked out. They’d stop eating and even struggle to swim. Ben Uyeda is a design-based maker who focuses on using readily available materials for all projects. In addition to social media, his how-to videos are available on his blog at HomeMade Modern. All the materials Ben used for the project, including the Quikrete, the five-gallon bucket, hand saw, and wooden dowel, can be found at most home centers. Be sure to have an additional bucket handy to pour water for the concrete. Chain saws can be purchased or rented at most home centers and landscape supply stores. All chain saws have the same safety features included with them, regardless of the type of chain saw it is. Three-handle shower valves are no longer up to code due to a risk of scalding, and should be replaced with a single-handle, pressure-balanced one, particularly if the shower is used regularly or will be used by children. Pressure-balanced shower valves can be found at home centers or plumbing supply stores. You can also purchase cover plates that can hide holes left behind in the tiles when the valves are swapped. When repairing existing three-handle valves, finding the correct components requires some detective work. Home centers have a book you can use to help you match up the correct parts, or you can go to a plumbing supply store and they will usually have the parts that you need. It happened around 8.7 million years ago. All of a sudden, vast grasslands started to open. Clouds of volcanic gas and ash covered the sky. We are kicking off this South America trip! In this first episode, we travelled back to Argentina and landed in Buenos Aires - the most logical place to begin this 3-month trip. After taking a taxi into the city and checking in to our apartment, our first order of business was to go in search of food. On the flight over, we had been talking about what we wanted our first meal back in Buenos Aires to be, and my dad was craving milanesa. Well, lucky for us, the AirBnB we rented was just a few blocks away from one of the most famous milanesa restaurants in the whole city! We ate at Los Orientales, a place that has won many awards for its monster milanesas. If you haven t heard of this dish before, it s a breaded meat cutlet (kind of like a Wiener Schnitzel or an Italian Cotoletta), that is super popular in Argentina. We got the biggest portion on the menu which came on a platter loaded with French fries, potato salad, tomatoes, eggs, red peppers, ham, cheese, and probably a whole lot more! We didn t believe it would be enough for 3 people, so we ordered a second milanesa, and this outing quickly turned into a food challenge! Asking for the people for Fatawa… that is my main point. What Imaam Khomeini had told about fatawa…against….. Fatawa against Salman Rushdie… was it correct or what… ? Dr. Zakir Naik: Brother has asked the question, that what Imaam Khomeini said regarding the Fatawa of Salman Rushdie… is it right or wrong? My basic question is that why did Imaam Khomeini give the Fatawa one year later. The first country to ban the book of Salman Rushdie’s Satanic Verses was India… and I congratulated Rajiv Gandhi for doing that act. Why should Khomeini give the fatawa of killing Salman Rushdie after one year? Because he was getting out of the news… all politicians…politicians. If he wanted to give the Fatawa he should have given… the book was reviewed by so many parts of the world, so many countries banned it and then he gives a Fatawa that he should be killed. Though this book is banned in India, I’ve read that book. You know?.... Salman Rushdie who claims… just for name sake he’s a Muslim… he did not leave anyone. In his book he even abuses Queen Elizabeth. And the same British government who had banned an American author for using a four letter word, ‘Father Uncle Cousin King’… for the policy of Margaret Thatcher… that same Salman Rushdie he makes it active and uses ‘ing’ and yet the book is very popular. So one American author they ban because he uses a four letter word for Margaret Thatcher… this another person Salman Rushdie makes it active ‘ing’ for the same Margaret Thatcher policy but he gets an award… why? Because he is maligning Islam… so they are very happy and do you know he did not even leave Ram and Sita… you know these people are respected by the majority of the Indians… even abused them.. I don’t want to use that word.. he abused them… he did not even leave them also and many of the people are supporting. So may be Rajiv Gandhi didn’t know but later on if you read that book you realize that he did not leave anyone. So if a person who keeps maligning etc., Allah says in the Qur’an in Surah Ma’idah, Chapter No. 5, Verse No. 33, “As to anyone who wages a war against Allah and his Messenger”… There are various options given that you can either execute him, you can crucify him.. chop off opposite limbs or take him out of the country and this law is not only in the Qur’an it is even in the Bible. If you read the Book of Leviticus, it says that “anyone who blasphemeth the lord you should stone that person to death, even a passer by who’s a stranger should stone that person to death who blasphemeth the Lord.” So this law is there in all the religious scriptures, not only there in Islam…. In most of the religious scripture for blasphemy, whether it be Christianity, whether it be Islam, whether it be Judaism for blasphemy… if it’s a confirmed blasphemy… if it’s that part of the country. They continue preparations for Tyra s birthday, and these are the crafts they are sharing with us! The first craft is a group of magic crystals made of non-toxic modeling clay. Take three different colors of clay (white, purple, and pink), and mix them. Press them down into a square block and, using a plastic safety tool cut into long rectangular prisms and then give them a crystal-like form. For the finishing touches, use white paint on the rocks edges to make them look like real ones! And of course, there is no Birthday party without a cake! Take some non-toxic modeling clay, flatten it out on a surface using a rolling pin, and then give it shape with a plastic, round, cookie-cutter. Repeat the same process with smaller pieces on top. For extra color, decorate the cake with modeling clay around the cake base and then use some more clay on top for the cake glaze. Use a paper straw as the central candle, and voila.
