💡 Stay on the Bright Side of life and rock our MERCH (open globally!): http://bit.ly/2OJubyA It was the very beginning of the year 1912. A giant chunk of ice broke off a glacier in southwest Greenland. It was a huge thing - more than 1,700 ft long, it weighed around 75 million tons! Btw, out of 15,000 to 30,000 icebergs that drift away from Greenland’s glaciers, only 1% ever makes it all the way to the Atlantic. That s why it s so amazing that in April that the iceberg that sank the Titanic was already more than 1,500 miles away from the Arctic Circle! Several days before our iceberg made it to the Atlantic Ocean, a magnificent ship left port. It was Titanic. Meanwhile, the iceberg was approaching the area the Titanic was going to cross on its way to New York. It happened on April, 14 when the ship was in the North Atlantic Ocean. At about 11.40 PM, people who were still awake on board the Titanic toppled down, pushed over by some mysterious and powerful force. We al know what was that. But do you know what happened to the iceberg after the Titanic hit it? #brightside Preview photo credit:  Titanic s Iceberg model: By Les Chatfield, CC BY 2.0 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.0, https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=3775341 Animation is created by Bright Side. The skill of a magician lies in his or her ability to keep you frozen in expectation of their next unbelievable trick. It often seems that magicians really are capable of doing things that defy all known laws of the universe, and the atmosphere of awe they create during their performances helps further reduce any doubts you have that this is all a trick. We ll a look at twelve of the most famous magic tricks that have amazed people over the years and take a look at them from a new, more scientific angle to reveal that they are not all that they seem. For example, imagine walking along a street one day and noticing a man with a transparent torso! You can look through him and see everything that s happening behind his back. How on Earth is that possible? To perform this trick, the magician needs to use several gadgets. There s a camera on his back. This device is transmitting the picture to the TV screen securely fixed on the illusionist’s chest. #brightside Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ Subscribe to Bright Side : https://goo.gl/rQTJZz ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our Social Media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/brightside/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/brightgram/ 5-Minute Crafts Youtube: https://www.goo.gl/8JVmuC Stock materials (photos, footages and other): https://www.depositphotos.com https://www.shutterstock.com https://www.eastnews.ru ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For more videos and articles visit: http://www.brightside.me/

We all grew up playing with miniature versions of real-life objects, like houses, appliances, and cars. And it’s always nice to look back at those fond memories and recreate them, even going as far as building your own model of a classic automobile. That’s what this video is all about. Today I’ll show you the step-by-step process of building a small car from scratch using screws and bolts. Take a closer look at the intricate methods used to make it possible. From the start, you’ll see all the metal and tiny pieces needed to create a functioning model car. The process is very detailed: it begins with the frame of the car using metal scraps and adding the details one by one. This car includes its own grille, seats, tires, steering wheel, and even an engine made of screws. Watch all the way until the end to see the final result! A human being is one of nature’s greatest wonders. Notwithstanding the fact that our bodies are being constantly analyzed and studied, scientists still make incredible findings in this field. We ve collected some interesting facts about the human body that usually go unnoticed. Did you know, for example, that zebras, skunks, squirrels, and tigers aren’t the only animals with stripes? So are you! These stripes are invisible to the naked eye but they cover your entire body! Or have you ever heard that bodies throw thermal radiation off as a tiny amount of light? This light is 1,000 times less visible than normal light so you’re not a torch yet! The lowest temperature a human has been intentionally cooled to was 48.2°F, the longest someone has ever stayed awake was 11 days and 25 minutes, the longest kiss went for over 58 hours! A couple from Thailand made the record claiming the Guinness World Records title and the cash prize! #brightside Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ Subscribe to Bright Side : https://goo.gl/rQTJZz ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our Social Media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/brightside/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/brightgram/ 5-Minute Crafts Youtube: https://www.goo.gl/8JVmuC Stock materials (photos, footages and other): https://www.depositphotos.com https://www.shutterstock.com https://www.eastnews.ru ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For more videos and articles visit: http://www.brightside.me/

The first pillows we know of date back to Ancient Mesopotamia. They were made of stone, and only wealthy people could afford them. Unlike ancient stone pillows, the ones we use today are soft and fluffy, and many people can’t sleep without hugging a big cozy pillow. But in fact, sleeping with a pillow may not be the best way to rest, as it can affect your body and your mood. Some of the pillows make you sleep in an unnatural position and don’t support your head. A pillow’s not gonna give you a backache all on its own, but it can make things worse. Having no pillow’s better than a bad one, test it out for yourself. If you wake up refreshed without one, it’s time to chuck that thing out! Of course, it can be difficult to part with your favorite pillow, but sleeping without it has many health benefits, and we did our research to introduce you to some of them. So if you feel tired when you wake up, these tips might help you! #brightside TIMESTAMPS: How to tell if you have a right pillow 0:01 Why you shouldn t sleep with wet hair 1:27 Different people need different pillows 1:40 Sleeping without a pillow 2:36 What to do when you can t sleep 3:48 How to improve your sleep 5:15 We know how to lift your mood! Traditionally, geography is studied as two interconnected parts: physical geography and human geography. For the first half of this series, we will be focusing on physical geography, which is all about recognizing the characteristics of the environment and the processes that create, modify, and destroy those environments. But remember, human-environment interactions are fundamental to studying geography so we won t be ignoring human impact, it just won t be the primary lens we re using to view the world. Today, we ll explore erosional gullies in Madagascar as we discuss the world s dynamic landscape, the Great Barrier Reef as we introduce the four major earth system (the atmosphere, hydrosphere, lithosphere, and biosphere), and we ll finish with a deep dive into Iceland as we introduce the major realms of physical geography. (These are geographer specializations that you may have heard about like topography, geomorphology, pedology, hydrology, climatology, oceanography, meteorology, and biogeography.) Dig into the tale of Princess Savitri and her one true love, Satyavan, and the tragic prophecy that entwined their fates forever. -- Princess Savitri was benevolent, brilliant, and bright. Her grace was known throughout the land, and many princes and merchants flocked to her family’s palace to seek her hand in marriage. But upon witnessing her blinding splendor in person, the men lost their nerve. Unimpressed with these suitors, she determined to find a husband herself. Iseult Gillespie tells the tale of Savitri and Satyavan. Lesson by Iseult Gillespie, directed by Jagriti Khirwar & Raghav Arumugam.
