Recently, my partner and I met up with some friends to enjoy a summer barbeque – making the most of the good weather while we could. But, as is often the case in the UK, it wasn’t long before the sun hid behind the clouds and our outdoor party was rained off. VR headsets are simply too big for continuous use, and the AR glasses are not necessarily well received by society given the use of cameras on your face all the time. For 2022, it seems companies have decided to change things up a bit into simpler territory. Back at CES we saw a few companies show us something that actually makes a lot more sense for the average consumer, and which is pretty much what we got to see today.
