Didn’t go as planned and totally FAILED but I wanted to share regardless. I have always wanted a neon sign in my office space but didn’t have the budget for it. A lightbulb went off when I was making my DIY pallet project - I realized that LED light rope could be a great alternative! So today I am showing you how I created a DIY faux neon sign. Now this didn’t necessarily go according to plan but I do believe if you have a little more patience and a better guideline of precisely where the letters would fit - this could be so rad! We have a lot of storage in our kitchen so I decided to clean out our pantry and turn it into more of my hosting pantry. We don’t keep much food in there believe it or not since we either are on the go eating out or we use fresh ingredients when we are home. That being said - it opened up more space to start to transform this into my DIY Pinterest Pantry! The first phase of this DIY pantry makeover took me less than 24 hours because I focused on what I already had and if I didn’t; keeping it budget friendly sourcing everything at my local Dollar Stores! Moving right along with part two of Paul’s DIY skate workshop with DIY skateboard organization. Since this isn’t displaying in our home, I didn’t get super crazy with a stain or finish. He just going to load and unload them which will dink up the wood. Wanted to share something short, sweet and simple for today’s DIY. If you’ve noticed, I have been redoing my sets which then turned into redoing my entire garage. During this DIY garage makeover, I realized that I wanted to be able to spend more time in there storyboarding and even host people if needed. That being said? I always have three drinks in hand that always mess up my workshop tables. BUT NO MORE! This design was inspired by Moglea (http://moglea.com) and all their beautiful prints. Instead of painting it, I wanted to strip and refinish it back to its original beautiful natural wood veneer, using stripping gel, and applied 100% tung oil to bring out the beautiful grain.
