The GREAT WEST COAST Adventure with four friends — Are you ready? We started in Los Angeles, headed up the Pacific Coast Highway 1 through the most beautiful Big Sur, spent a couple days in Yosemite and ended it all off with San Francisco! You can check this itinerary out, it s also an alternative to start the journey from SF to LA: https://thetravelintern.com/san-francisco-to-los-angeles-road-trip-itinerary/ LOS ANGELES 00:32 - Go LA Card We really can t emphasise this product enough - you get access to 35 attractions with just one price. Think Six Flags Magic Mountain, Warner Bros. Studio Tour, etc. It s a superb deal. 00:37 - Warner Bros. Studio Tour We got to tour around the famous Hollywood filming locations and the campus was HUGE! 00:53 - Perry s Bicycle Rental What better way to soak in the beach ~vibes~ by getting a bike and cycling down Santa Monica beach? 01:06 - Pacific Park End your bike adventure at Pacific Park after catching the sunset at Santa Monica Pier. The rides are actually more thrilling than they appear to be. 01:09 - San Pedro Fish Market If you re ever in the southern part of LA, be sure to give San Pedro Fish Market a visit and indulge in their SHRIMP TRAY!!! 01:20 - Griffith Observatory Get a bird s-eye view of the city from this observatory. You ll also get to see the Hollywood sign from here. 01:26 - Universal Studios Hollywood, Six Flags Magic Mountain Go on a theme park frenzy!! Thrill-seekers, you re definitely in for a treat~ 01:43 - OUE Skyspace LA This city is FULL of sunset lookout points. The OUE Skyspace LA is the highest open-air observation deck in California! 01:54 - Disneyland The happiest place on Earth — what else is there to say? :-) ROAD TRIP UP PACIFIC COAST HIGHWAY 1 02:23 - Big Sur LOVE LOVE LOVE. Super love. Winding roads along the beautiful coastal stretch, with landmarks that took our breath away~ 02:31 - McWay Falls 02:35 - Bixby Creek Bridge YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK 02:43 - Yosemite National Park Snow all around, it was truly like a winter wonderland. 02:53 - Yosemite Falls Both the Upper Falls and Lower Falls are magnificent sights to behold. 02:57 - Half Dome On clear days, the reflection of the Half Dome on the water surface makes the entire scene look like it came straight out of a postcard. 02:58 - Bridalveil Fall During winter, the short walk up to the falls can be quite tricky and slippery, so be prepared for some leg work! 03:01 - Swinging Bridge I know what you re thinking — it doesn t look like it s swinging. But ya know, it still works. It s an absolute beaut. 03:03 - El Capitan The red hue cast by the sunset upon the face of El Capitan made all of us speechless. It only lasted a couple minutes before it faded off, but that moment was priceless. SAN FRANCISCO 03:19 - Go SF Card Just like the Go LA Card, this card is super handy too! Trust us — it s a good deal. 03:24 - Golden Gate Bridge (Battery Spencer) For those who wanna get that picture with the Golden Gate Bridge, this is one of the better lookouts we feel. It does get windy though, so be layered up! 03:31 - Mr. Holmes Bakehouse Yes, this is the shop where we "GOT BAKED" in. Haha. Super Instagram-famous, and with good reason too! Their cruffins are of a different flavour everyday, so be surprised! 03:36 - Fisherman s Wharf If you re in SF, you have to spend an afternoon walking and exploring the entire stretch of the Fisherman s Wharf. You get to see and do so many things like: 03:40 - Ripley s Believe It or Not 03:45 - The San Francisco Dungeon (WE LOVED THIS, REALLY. It was a theatre-based show, where you get to move from station to station, something like a theme park, but with a haunting history of the past~) 03:49 - Pier 39 (Get the Speculoos Latte from the Biscoff Coffee Corner) 03:56 - Alcatraz Island Tour One of the must-dos!! We easily spent 3 hours in there, or more. The audio tour is probs the best out there. 04:14 - The Castro The historic center of the LGBT community of SF, we really loved exploring the area! 04:23 - MISSION STREET MEXICAN FOOD FEAST!!!! Mission Street is the Mexican food HAVEN! We highly recommend saving your tummies for at least 4 to 5 stores. We re going to introduce you to one of our FAVE places: 04:27 - Taqueria El Farolita Anything off the menu is great. Promise. Would you go on such an adventure with your friends? :-) ---------------------------------------------- Edited by: Sherry Wong - http://instagram.com/sherrified Follow our travel guides around the world on: ► https://thetravelintern.com/ Follow us on our travel adventures on social media: ► @TheTravelIntern http://facebook.com/thetravelintern http://instagram.com/thetravelintern Learn about The Travel Intern Programme: ► https://thetravelintern.com/about-tra... WE LOVE FOOD! So here, we re listing down what you guys should eat and try in the beautiful capital of Vietnam — Hanoi! And it doesn t end at this video, we have a list of 31 LOCAL-APPROVED PLACES TO EAT in Hanoi here: https://thetravelintern.com/where-to-eat-in-hanoi/ 1) Banh Gio (Pyramidal Dumpling) 00:16 - Banh Gio It s like a burst of flavours in your mouth when you take the first bite with all the ingredients in one scoop! 2) Bun Cha (Grilled Pork and Noodle) 00:26 - Banh Gio This dish was one of the team s FAVOURITE!!!! It s like perfectly cooked (and tender) slices of pork soaked in sweet broth, paired with noodles on the side. YUM~ 3) Banh Cuon (Steamed Rice Rolls) 00:31 - Banh Cuon Nong Ho Tay If you like soon kueh from Singapore, you ll definitely be a fan of this dish too! And the aunty prepares it to order, meaning it s always gonna be super fresh! 4) Che Xoai (Mango Dessert) 00:57 - Minci Puddings It might look like a small bowl, but this lil bowl PACKS A PUNCH! Super sweet mango in super sweet milk and pudding, super yummy~ 5) Cafe Trung (Egg Coffee) 01:05 - Giang Cafe Of course, if you re in Vietnam, you HAVE to get their famous egg coffee! I thought it was going to be SUPER EGGY at first, but actually it just makes the coffee really thick and frothy! 6) Bun-Mien Ngan (Rice Noodles & Muscovy Duck) 01:15 - Hanh Ngan De If it s not Bun Cha, it s BUN-MIEN NGAN! This dish was spectacular, and we are NOT hyping it up. The duck portion is so generous, and we highly recommend the dry version of this dish! (Also, if you want even more duck, we recommend getting a side of grilled duck too) 7) Mi Ga Tan (Herbal Chicken Noodles) 01:30 - Mi Ga Tan This place was recommended to us by a local, and it was a local experience indeed! Forget the fancy restaurants or cafes, this was where it s at — Having a yummy savoury bowl of herbal chicken noodles along the street, huddling beside other customers. 8) Kem Trai Dua (Coconut Ice Cream) 01:39 - 17 To Tich Hoa Beo Now it s time for your sweet tooth. After you finish that mountainous portion of coconut ice cream, you ll be pleasantly surprised to find that the coconut itself has lotsa meat left for you to scrape out and eat! 9) Sua Chua Nep Cam (Sticky Rice Yoghurt) 01:48 - 17 To Tich Hoa Beo It s kinda like Pulut Hitam, but sweeter and thicker. This was actually our fave out of all the desserts~ 10) Caramen Mit (Jack Fruit Caramel) 01:53 - 17 To Tich Hoa Beo Caramel Flan Pudding, along with sticky rice and jack fruit. Might sound a bit much, but trust us, it is anything but much. Do you guys have your own secret food go-tos or even your favourite food places in Hanoi? Let us know! We often hear people saying that Australia’s boring… Just do a quick YouTube search, and you’ll find a plethora of said videos. Some of the comments we heard before embarking on our Byron Bay adventure were, “There’s nothing to do except look at waves.” “Older folks would find it fun there.” “It’s the same landscape in every different city.” So we decided to find out if this was true or not, in our recent adventure to Byron Bay, what we believe is the hidden gem of New South Wales’ coasts. We interviewed locals, and the funny thing was, they were all shookt when they found out that people actually say that Australia is boring! Come to your own conclusion if it really is boring or not, as we take you through all the activities we did in Byron Bay and surrounds, then tell us what you really feel in the comments below! 🙂 If you’ve watched this video and agree that HEY, AUSTRALIA AIN’T BORING, then we encourage you to check this itinerary from Sydney to Byron Bay out: https://thetravelintern.com/australia-road-trip-sydney-to-byron-bay/ If you still think Australia’s not your cup of tea, well have a look anyway! Iceland might seem a little out of reach, but here, we bring to you our version of the ultimate Iceland Roadtrip, where we spent 10 days with a campervan, all under SGD2.8k! If you re curious, here s how: https://thetravelintern.com/budget-iceland-itinerary-camper-van/ Our first stop, REYKJAVIK (00:19) 00:23 - Hallgrimskirkja You defo cannot miss this church that has such unique architecture, inspired by the lava columns around Iceland. 00:29 - Baejarins Beztu Pylsur Don t underestimate these hotdogs!! These will probably save your freezing selves, giving you some warmth in your tummy. 00:36 - Golden Circle Tour 00:39 - Kerio Crater Have you ever stood atop a 3000-year-old volcano? The experience was truly one-of-a-kind, breathtaking and just other worldly. 00:43 - Secret Lagoon This was probably the highlight of our tour — getting to soak in the warm, natural hot springs of the Secret Lagoon~ 00:49 - Geysir Post-hot spring soak, we got to see the aggressive geyser bubble over that launched 100ft of water into the sky! 00:54 - Gullfoss This was a special one to us because we got to catch a top-down view of the falls, one of the few falls around Iceland that allowed us to take in such a view! :-) 01:00 - Thingvellir National Park Walk through where the Icelanders declared independence from Denmark and their first president. We then hopped over to the SOUTH COAST (01:06) 01:08 - Seljalandsfoss Start your South Coast adventure at Seljalandsfoss, a waterfall you can actually walk around and behind. 01:15 - Skogafoss Pro-tip: Please be in water-resistant attire, or if you re one with no qualms about getting soaked, by all means! Embrace the falls wholly. 01:21 - Black Sand Beach Get to see the iconic black sand beach and its beautiful towering volcanic columns. 01:27 - Solheimajokull Glacier Put your crampons on and start the very-tiring-but-super-fulfilling hike. And now we start our CAMPERVAN ROAD TRIP ADVENTURE!! (01:38) 01:45 - Bridge Between Continents Which other spot in the world allows you to flex that you re actually in Europe and North America at the same time???? 01:52 - Solheimasandur Plane Wreck You ve prolly seen thousands of photos and videos of this abandoned plane wreck site. But it really doesn t bring justice to the mystic and beauty of the very-wrecked (pun-intended) photo spot. 01:59 - Reyniskirkja Nothing beats having a warm, home-cooked meal in your campervan while taking in the gorgeous sights of Vik~ The adventure continues through EASTERN ICELAND (02:06) 02:09 - Diamond Beach These aren t diamonds in the sky (cues Rihanna), but diamonds in the... beach? 02:16 - Vatnajokiull Glacier Tour This ice cave hike through Iceland s LARGEST glacier was a whole other level of epic.... 02:29 - Stokksnes This was where we witnessed the Northern Lights dancing and prancing in the sky, tbh we shed a tear, or two, or maybe more. 02:43 - Viking Village Back in the days of the old viking era.... This would ve been how it looked! Now we re headed to NORTHERN ICELAND (02:48) 02:53 - Grjotagja Cave We ve seen a couple of caves and hot springs, but we weren t expecting to see both in the same place. Also, for all you GOT fans, hope you got the reference. ;-) 02:57 - Godafoss Frozen states and liquid states don t really come together, but apparently they do, here at godafoss??? This was absolutely magical. 03:07 - Camping Hamrar It wouldn t be a complete road trip in Iceland if you don t stay in one of the campsites around Iceland~ 03:15 - Hofsos Swimming Pool The best way to start your day right — a dip in an infinity pool with a view of snow-capped mountains by the ocean. 03:23 - Hvitserkur Super photo-worthy spot! It was worth the short detour we took. 03:29 - Illugastadir To end Northern Iceland allllll off (sob), time your day such that you catch the golden hour and watch the seals here at Illugastadir s seal-watching point. Finally, we head to our last part of the trip, WESTERN ICELAND (03:36) 03:38 - Kirkjufellsfoss You ve also probably seen photos and videos of this mountain, which happens to be Iceland s most prominent mountain, we believe. 03:44 - Londranger Viewpoint We could never, ever get tired of the views from the viewpoints around Iceland. We hope you re inspired to take that leap of faith (after saving some moniessssssss) to go experience all of the above for yourself! :-) ---------------------------------------------- Edited by: Akif - http://instagram.com/akifkeith Follow our travel guides around the world on: ► https://thetravelintern.com/ Follow us on our travel adventures on social media: ► @TheTravelIntern http://facebook.com/thetravelintern http://instagram.com/thetravelintern Learn about The Travel Intern Programme: ► https://thetravelintern.com/about-tra... Hot Air Balloon rides are a pretty magical experience and this Balloon ride in Myanmar is no different. With lift-off timed to catch the Bagan sunrise, you’ll enjoy phenomenal views of temples, vistas and and pagodas, only to touch down with a glass of bubbly champagne. Okay, that sounds great and all but... $450? We show you what this Hot Air Balloon experience is like and answer if this is really worth its hefty price tag. Australia is famous for its breathtaking coasts, and we all know the country is littered with beautiful beaches. So this time, we got the chance to visit (we believe) one of Australia s greatest hidden coastal gems — Byron Bay! It also helps that our ultimate bae, Chris Hemsworth, stays here too. ;-) If you re not convinced, check our 13 reasons why Byron Bay should be on EVERY New South Wales itinerary: https://thetravelintern.com/byron-bay-nsw-itinerary/ 00:31 - Brunswick River STAND UP PADDLING! Unlike the open oceans, paddling along Brunswick River was calm, peaceful and it felt like we had the whole area to ourselves~ 00:39 - Cook Island Cook Island is FAMOUS for its snorkelling tours, and we hopped on one of em! We got to see not only turtles in their natural habitat, but also a leopard shark and tonnnnnes of lil fishies in the water :-) 00:53 - Tropical Fruit World Think of it as a fruit theme park — you get to go through tours around the large compound and you ll be blown away by the sheer amount of fruits they grow in there. ****Be sure to try the MIRACLE FRUIT, and the ice-cream they sell at the store :-) 01:11 - Mavis s Kitchen Most of what they serve come from their garden just out the back from their restaurant. Super fresh, super yummy! 01:18 - Catch a Crab Tweed Heads is not too far from the main city of Byron Bay, and their crabbing adventure tours are really famous too! We had such a good time learning how to catch crabs, yabbies and fishes~ THANK YOU CATCH A CRAB!! 01:37 - Cape Byron Lighthouse YOU GET DIBS ON CATCHING THE SUNRISE FIRST IN AUSTRALIA!! Is that not a pull? Hahaha. Here at Australia s most easterly point, you get to catch the sunrise, and if you re feelin a lil indulgent, treat yourself and a friend/partner to the Toast the Sun experience! 01:51 - Air T&G Helicopters It was always a dream to get on a helicopter, even more so an OPEN-DOOR helicopter ride! There are a couple of different packages which include different routes and timings at Air T&G. One package even allows you to PILOT the helicopter — no kidding. 02:08 - Main Beach (GO SEA KAYAKS) We ve gone on and on about the beautiful beaches, so here we are, kayaking through the open ocean in search for sea turtles and dolphins! Hopefully the waters aren t too choppy when you re out there. Some of us had motion sickness while kayaking hahaha. 02:18 - The Farm 02:30 - Three Blue Ducks One thing about Australia and Byron Bay, specifically, is the fact that it is so self-sustaining! Here at The Farm, we got to tour around and learnt more about the local produce sitch in Australia. Super inspiring. Three Blue Ducks is within the compounds of The Farm, but they are always super crowded so do try to go during off-peak hours. 02:34 - Stone & Wood Brewery If you observe, almost every bar or restaurant boasts the logo of Stone & Wood. They are also part of the local produce gang gang in Byron Bay, and they actually serve up some experimental beers that are limited edition on a rotational basis! 02:43 - Crystal Castle Ultimate zen place. Learn about meditation, about crystals and everything about zen here~ 02:55 - Main Beach (LET S GO SURFING) You d better surf at one of Australia s surfing capitals! Try booking the sunrise surf with the beautiful warm orange glow embracing you as you make ~moves~ on the ~waves~. 03:09 - Byron Farmers Market Only open on Thursdays from 8AM to 11AM. We really recommend The Nomadic Kitchen!! They serve up some really interesting dishes, and they also move around the different farmers markets around the area. 03:17 - Husk Distillers OOOOOOOO SIS YOU GOTS TO TRY THEIR INK GIN TONIC! Nuff said. Pretty purple colour, nice for your social media handles too. Hahaha. 03:27 - Zephyr Horses The perfect way to end the day — Zephyr Horses Forest to Beach Sunset Tour. We got to ride through a really mystical forest trail that led us out to the open beach with nobody around except us and the horsies~ 03:38 - Harvest Newrybar Just take a short drive out of Byron Bay and you ll reach Newrybar village. Harvest boasts a restaurant, bakery, deli and garden all in one compound. 03:48 - Zentveld s Coffee The owner of this coffee plantation was self-taught — she learnt about brewing, harvesting and everything coffee-related by herself! We really enjoyed the experience of walking through the plantation, looking at how the brewing and harvesting process is like and getting to taste it. Yeet. Have we convinced you guys to make a trip down yet??!?!?! We hope so! Because we d surely visit again. :-) ---------------------------------------------- Edited by: Sherry Wong - http://instagram.com/sherrified Follow our travel guides around the world on: ► https://thetravelintern.com/ Follow us on our travel adventures on social media: ► @TheTravelIntern http://facebook.com/thetravelintern http://instagram.com/thetravelintern Business enquiries: weare@thetravelintern.com

Ah Iceland, you beauty. We got to see the northern lights dancing in the sky, we hiked up majestic glaciers and we got to explore ice caves that look straight out of a scene of a game of thrones episode. We braved 2 weeks driving around Iceland in a camper van. We prepared to face the piercing cold with a stock pile of instant noodles and 47 layers of clothing. Surely that would be enough. Spoiler alert: the cold won.
