This week Craig Benzine talks about how the President gets things done. Filling the role of the Executive Branch is a pretty big job - much too big for just one person. It s so big that the President employs an entire federal bureaucracy! Today, we’re just going to focus on those closest to the President, like the Vice President, the Cabinet, and the Executive Office of the President. We’ll figure out which strategy is most useful in helping the President make things happen and we’ll discuss the controversy around the President’s gradual increase in power. Oh, and as many of you noticed - last episode eagle got off too easy. Let’s see if we can make it up to you. This week, Stan Muller teaches you the basics of copyright in the United States. Copyright law is territorial, so we re going to cover the system we know the most about, and that s the US. Stan will talk about what kind of ideas can be copyrighted, who can get a copyright, and what protections the copyright grants. We ll also talk about the always contentious and seemingly ever-growing term of copyright. Stan will also teach you about the low bar for creativity, which means that original work doesn t have to be all that original, and he ll also touch on the problems with copyright in the modern world. http://www.ThriftDiving.com - I m guilting of painting, doing yard work, and then sleeping in the same clothes. Enough!! It s time to save our jammies, ladies, and find the appropriate work gear that is flexible, cooling, and full coverage, so that we can focus on what matters: getting our projects done, while we save our jammies for relaxing and bed time! I picked up a few pieces from Duluth Trading Company for doing DIY projects and yard work. My favorite: these pants!! #saveyourjammies ! This is a cool scuba dive. The Pit Cenote, or El Pit is one of the many amazing things to see near Tulum. The Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico is like a giant ant colony of Cenotes, underground rivers, and sink holes. It s a diving and snorkeling playground, and you could spend weeks here just seeing the sights underwater. While there are hundreds of cenotes scattered across Yucatan and Quintana Roo, this particular hole cuts deeper into the ground than most. It s called The Pit for a reason, and for myself, it was my very first Cavern Dive. I arrived here with the expectation of getting my Cave Diving certification, it turns out there is a type of diving called Cavern Diving. This means you never leave the guide line, and you always are able to see ambient light. This was enough for me, as on several of these dives we were well underground, with only a faint glow in the distance of sunlight. You have to be an advanced scuba diver to be allowed to participate in this type of dive. I highly recommend you get certified that high! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ϟ My Camera Gear ϟ Sony Alpha a7S Digital Camera: http://geni.us/MyCamera Sony 16-35mm FE F4 ZA OSS: http://geni.us/Sony1635mm Sony 55mm F1.8 Sonnar T FE ZA: http://geni.us/Sony55mm Sony FE 90mm f/2.8-22 Macro G OSS: http://geni.us/Sony90mm Rode VideoMic Pro: http://geni.us/RODEMic SanDisk Extreme PRO 64GB SD Card: http://geni.us/SanDiskPRO PD Capture Camera Clip: http://geni.us/PDClip PD Capture Lens Kit: http://geni.us/PDLensKit PD slideLITE Camera Strap: http://geni.us/PDStrap PD Rain Shell Cover: http://geni.us/PDRainShell 3 Legged Thing Carbon Fiber Tripod:: http://geni.us/Tripod Glidecam HD-2000 Steadicam: http://geni.us/Glidecam DJI Phantom 3 4K Drone: http://geni.us/DJI4K ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ♥ Friends ♥ Make sure to check out infinity2diving (http://www.infinity2diving.com/). Hank resists the urge to devour a slice of pizza so that he can walk you through the way we experience our major special senses. It all boils down to one thing: sensory cells translate chemical, electromagnetic, and mechanical stimuli into action potentials that our nervous system can make sense of. Today we re focusing on smell (olfaction) and taste (gustation), which are chemical senses that call on chemoreceptors. As usual, we ll begin with a quick look at how these things can go wrong.
