Stock kitchen cabinets come in a wide variety of finishes, colors, sizes, and configurations. 2. Kitchen base cabinets are too tall for use in a mobile island, unless you cut them down to size. 3. Upper wall cabinets at 12 inches deep by 30 inches tall are ideal for building a mobile island. 4. Use a circular saw to cut away the raised lip from the bottom of the cabinets. 5. Place the cabinets upside down and back-to-back, then saw a piece of 3/4-inch plywood to fit across the bottom of both cabinets. 6. Attach a 4-inch caster to each corner of the plywood panel; secure each caster with four 1 1/2-inch-long carriage bolts, washers, and nuts. 7. Drill four 5/32-inch-diameter screw-shank clearance holes through the bottom of each cabinet. 8. Set the plywood panel with casters on top of the cabinets, then attach the panel with 1 1/4-inch drywall screws. 9. Bore four screw-shank clearance holes through the upper back of one cabinet. 10. Insert wood shims between the two cabinets, then fasten them together with two 1 1/4-inch drywall screws. 11. Turn the cabinets upright and trim the shims flush using a utility knife. 12. Cut four 3/4-inch-thick plywood filler strips to fit across the tops of the cabinets. 13. Secure the filler strips with glue and 1 1/4-inch screws. 14. Use a circular saw with a straightedge guide to cut a 36-inch-long wood butcher-block top for the island. 15. Set the butcher block on the island, allowing it to overhang one end by 4 inches and the other by 2 inches. 16. Secure the wood top to the island with 2-inch screws. 17. Smooth the butcher-block top using a random-orbit sander fitted with a 120-grit abrasive disk. 18. Use a clean cotton cloth to apply a coat of mineral oil to the butcher-block top. Tom used upper cabinets attached back-to-back for the base unit. In this case, he used two 30" cabinets made by Hampton Bay and available at The Home Depot [https://www.homedepot.com/b/Hampton-Bay/N-5yc1vZp4]. Tom used two swiveling 4" casters, and two stationary 4" casters, which he mounted to a piece of ¾" plywood. These are also available at The Home Depot. For the top, Tom used the Numerär beech butcher block countertop with a mineral oil finish from Ikea [https://www.ikea.com/us/en/]. When it comes to Argentine snacks we have to admit we didn t venture too far from alfajores and facturas during our time in Buenos Aires. However, we did load up on Argentinian candy for a taste in Lima, Peru. Audrey had been feeling under the weather and lost her voice so we threw it all into our suitcases and brought it to Lima to finally try as many of these Argentinian snacks as possible. The following is a list of everything we tried: 1) Tita chocolate cookies with lemon icing inside 2) Smack chocolate wafer 3) Rhodesia lemon flavored cookie wafers 4) Shot chocolate bar with peanuts 5) Bon O Bon milk chocolate balls 6) Bon o Bon white chocolate balls 7) Bonafide Rama white chocolate sticks 8) Mantecol peanut bar 9) Dos Corazones chocolate hearts with poetry 10) Vauquita dulce de leche tablet 11) Mentitas chocolate peppermint patties 12) Bocadito Bonafide dulce de leche candy 13) Jorgito Alfajor 14) Terrabus alfajores GEAR WE USE Olympus OM-D E-M5 II: http://amzn.to/1OchS7t Canon G7X: http://amzn.to/1YdjsYX Olympus 14-150mm II Lens: http://amzn.to/1Y79zeM Rode Video Mic GO: http://amzn.to/1WDKtVM Joby Gorilla Pod: http://amzn.to/1PgoY5F SanDisk 16GB Extreme Pro: http://amzn.to/25KEErs SOCIAL MEDIA & TRAVEL BLOGS AUDREY: blog: http://thatbackpacker.com/ instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thatbackpacker/ facebook: https://www.facebook.com/thatbackpacker twitter: https://twitter.com/ThatBackpacker SAMUEL: blog: http://nomadicsamuel.com/ facebook: https://www.facebook.com/nomadicsamuel twitter: https://twitter.com/NomadicSamuel instragram: https://www.instagram.com/nomadicsamuel/ Argentine Snacks and Argentinian Candy Taste Test Travel Video Transcript: #eatArgentina So this afternoon we are doing an Argentine snacks taste test. So at the very end of our stay in Buenos Aires Sam and I hit up a convenience store and we tried to pick up candies, chocolate bars, cookies and just typical snacks that you can pickup for just a few dollars. So we actually meant to film that video while we were still in Argentina but unfortunately I completely lost my voice. I couldn t even speak. So we had to pack all of those snacks into our suitcase and bring them over to Peru. So they got a little bit smooshed but they should still taste the same. So today we re going to be filming that video. Sampling some Argentine snacks. So this one here is Bocadito Bonafide and it is a wafer cookie filled with dulce de leche. Covered in chocolate. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. Okay, this is messy. Oh wow is that like a jam? No, it is filled with dulce de leche but it is kind of liquid-y. So it has dripped all over my face and all over my hands. So now it is time for me to try my Alfajor and this is my favorite dessert slash snack in Argentina. We ve been eating Alfajores like there is no tomorrow. But mostly from Havanna and from another place so this is a brand I haven t tried yet. But I am excited about it. And when it comes out it kind of looks like, if you re from Canada or the US, it kind of looks like a wagon wheel. It has that same type of shape. And this one surprisingly didn t get too smushed in the airplane. There is another one that totally got crushed which we re not even going to put in this video because it would look awful. But we are going to try this one here. You know what, this might be my last alfajor for months if not years because we are now gone from Argentina and I m going to savor this one. And last but not least we re doing one more alfajor This one is the Terrabus brand. And it says three layers of cake. It says torta so I have a feeling this should be a softer alfajor instead of cookies I m expecting like more moist layers. There we have it. A triple one. And look if you take a closer look you can actually see the dulce de leche in there. Do you see that? Yeah, you can. Look at that. That is all chocolate. Chocolate filling, with dulce de leche layers in between, and then it is all bathed in chocolate again. So much chocolate. Oh my gosh. And you re so full. I m done. It is good but I m done. That was enough snacks guys. Out! So that concludes our Argentine food taste test. We are stuffed, we re on a sugar high. So now it is over to you. Have you tried any foods from Argentina before? Any kinds of snacks, chocolates. Anything like that? So if you re looking to pick any of these up they re really cheap. I think everything single one of these costs less than a dollar so you can load up on these if you re in Buenos Aires or another city in Argentina. And please do let us know if you re tried them before or if any of them look good or which ones you d like to try yourself. And remember to eat in moderation. Yes, because we need a siesta now. Don t do what we did. This is part of our Travel in Argentina video series showcasing Argentine food, Argentine culture and Argentinian cuisine. Music in this video courtesy of Audio Network

This is Las Coloradas Yucatan, the rainbow salt flats of Rio Lagartos Mexico. It took us 4 trips to get this one right, and finally we got a our quadcopter the DJI Inspire 1 drone flight in! You can find pools of green, orange, and pink here. These are ancient drying beds for salt, the more pink the water, the higher the concentration. This place is in the middle of nowhere, and is a helluva thing to see! It s similar to Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia, just add a little bit more color ;) In our 4 visits to Las Coloradas, we only saw about 5 other people visiting. It s basically unheard of, and you can spend the whole day by yourself there. The drive from Merida or Cancun is about 3 hours, but it s worth it as there s lots of other things to see up there as well. Flamingos, Mud Baths, Dolphins, etc. If Mexico is on your travel list, and you find yourself in the Yucatan Peninsula, make the trip to Las Coloradas. Today Hank explores artificial intelligence, including weak AI and strong AI, and the various ways that thinkers have tried to define strong AI including the Turing Test, and John Searle’s response to the Turing Test, the Chinese Room. Hank also tries to figure out one of the more personally daunting questions yet: is his brother John a robot? Curious about AI?
