Capasa introduced his Spring/Summer 2013 collection during Paris Fashion Week where inspiration was derived from the images of Toilet Paper, the famous photo journal by artists Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari. The catwalk was filled with vertical and horizontal combinations, half tuxedo jackets, clever half skirts and plenty of other asymmetrical halves. There was a lot going on with half halters or bustiers, as well as dominatrix bras and belted straps, overall, it was a story of obscure proportions. Many of the looks were cut from black, red, white and navy blue fabrics and some even included loud shades of fuchsia creating a more cheerful appeal to the collection. Noteworthy pieces included the finale which was a cut in half caped long gown that the crowd could not keep their eyes off! The photoshoot was with photographer Peter Lindbergh and the year was 1990. Dsquared2 designers Dean and Dan Caten attempted to recreate that photoshoot with Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford and more for their Spring/Summer 2013 collection at Milan Fashion Week. And it certainly seemed appropriate, considering they love their biker babes and bad girls. They love their leather jackets, biker hats, gold accessories, and dark denim. Interestingly enough, they add some unique details to the general collection that some scratching their heads and wondering if it could work.
