A&Z #1044 - Professional eater Randy Santel versus the "Firebird" Garbage Plate Breakfast Challenge w/ Pancakes at Franks Diner in Kenosha, Wisconsin!! Franks Diner has been featured TWICE on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives with host Guy Fieri. It first opened back in 1926 and is located next to Carthage College, with a "Firebird" as the mascot. My friends Kevin and Julie own it now and they invited me down to try their challenge that has been available for many years now, since before they bought it! I had 45 short minutes to feast on a mega-sized Garbage Plate Breakfast platter which has 5 real eggs, all their meats, all their cheeses, and all their healthy vegetables mixed together with hash browns. That is served with 3 plate-sized pancakes and 2 giant pieces of home-baked bread. I was trying to win my $30 breakfast meal half-price along with a sweet t-shirt and my name engraved up on the Wall of Fame plaque. BIG thanks to Kevin, Julie, Sandy the chef, and their Franks Diner team for the wonderful food, drinks, and hospitality!! The syrups I received were optional too. - Winners earn the breakfast meal 1/2 price (cash only), a sweet t-shirt, and Wall of Fame!!
