A&Z #1068 - Professional eater Randy Santel versus Pancheros Massive Full Menu Mexican Food Challenge hosted by the Pancheros Mexican Grill location in downtown Iowa City, Iowa!! I finished up my dietetic internship on May 19th, 2022 and @KatinaEatsKilos and I knew we were leaving for Dublin, Ireland on June 7, 2022 to begin our international travel plans. Before leaving, we wanted to attempt 12 food challenges around 6 midwestern USA states. For event #3 of 12, we headed to downtown Iowa City, Iowa which is the home of the original Pancheros Mexican Grill first opened in 1992. Katina and I were the first 2 people to attempt and help kick off the new full menu Mexican food challenge at Pancheros Mexican Grill which was absolutely delicious!! I went first and had 1 full hour to feast on one of each item on the Pancheros menu, supersized, using one of their delicious protein options. I ordered a chicken burrito, a beef steak burrito bowl, a pork carnitas quesadilla, and a Tofusada salad. I also enjoyed 4 tacos, one of each of the 4 proteins. Last but not least, I had to finish an order of their famous blue corn tortilla chips with queso cheese sauce. I was trying to become the first person to win my full menu meal free plus a sweet gift box set of t-shirts and a spot on the downtown Iowa City location s Wall of Fame. Place in water and add garlic, then allow it to cook. After 5 minutes, add more water and then change the water. Chop the meat into smaller pieces. Add julienned ginger and more water then steam. Open the cover and add tomato paste with green chilies & black pepper. Mix everything together then add yogurt & cream. Steam for a few minutes. Split the rip bones, and chop it into fine pieces. After 5 minutes, add 13 pieces of butter. Chop again.
