So can drinking more water really help you lose weight? The short answer is yes .In this video we’re going to see the important things to know about the importance of drinking water to lose weight. Drinking water helps boost your metabolism, cleanse your body of waste and acts as an appetite suppressant. Also, drinking more water helps your body stop retaining water, leading you to drop those extra pounds of water weight. Water aids digestion and promotes the normal functioning of many body organs including the liver. Lack of regular intake of water will slow digestion, decrease fat metabolism and give you the feeling that you are bloated and tired. Drinking sufficient quantity of water increases the rate at which our liver burns off fat. If you drink inadequate quantities of water, your liver ends up working exhaustively thus storing more fat as it becomes difficult to burn fat more effectively. If you want to lose weight, you should drink a minimum of eight 8-ounce glasses of water per day. However, to really get the process moving, drink half your body weight in ounces each day. So, if you weigh 180 pounds, you should drink about 90 ounces of water a day -- roughly 11 glasses of water. Drinking ice cold water helps boost your metabolism because your body has to work harder to warm the water up, therefore burning more calories and helping you to lose weight. Plus, ice cold water is just so much more refreshing than water that’s room temperature. Replace sweetened drinks with water. Instead of drinking soda, alcoholic beverages, smoothies, or other high-calorie drinks, grab a glass or bottle of water. Swapping in a zero-calorie beverage for high-calorie alternatives can spare you hundreds of calories per day, further aiding in weight loss. Drink water before you eat drinking water before meals can make you feel fuller and therefore reduce your food intake as it acts like an appetite suppressant. Health resource website WebMD states that drinking water before meals results in an average reduction in intake of 75 calories per meal. Drinking water before just one meal per day would cause you to ingest 27,000 fewer calories per year. Do the math: You d lose about eight pounds per year just from drinking water! After putting together a complete list, it turned out to be 23, and I hope this list of attractions will help and inspire you to visit Vietnam’s largest and most exciting city. 1. Binh Tay Market - Binh Tay Market is one of the largest wholesale distribution markets, and a perfect place to go if you’re looking to go shopping in Ho Chi Minh City. 2. Thien Hau Temple (Pagoda) - Located in Chinatown, in District 5, the temple is dedicated to Thien Hau and I really loved the sculptures and the elaborate design of the temple. 3. Museum of Ho Chi Minh City - This museum offers a glimpse into the history and development of the city and Vietnam. 4. Bitexco Financial Tower - This is the tallest building in Saigon, and you can either go to the Skydeck or a cafe at the top for a view of the city. 5. Independence Palace (Reunification Palace) - Probably one of the most well known tourism things to do in Saigon is to visit the Independence Palace, the the former home of the president of South Vietnam during the Vietnam War. 6. Saigon Cathedral of Notre Dame - With the French influence in Vietnam, the Notre Dame cathedral is a beautiful Catholic church. Attend a service or just visit. 7. Central Post Office - Designed by Gustave Eiffel, the Central Post Office in Ho Chi Minh City is an attraction mainly for its design and architecture. It’s a beautiful building. 8. War Remnants Museum - Although this is not one of the happiest attractions in Saigon, it’s a place to remember and honor the horrible events that are a result of a war. 9. Opera House - Right in Dong Khoi area, and there are still opera shows available. 10. Dong Khoi Street - This is the height of high end shopping in Saigon. 11. Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens - The zoo itself is not too great, but the beauty of the Saigon zoo is the botanical gardens, and the lush gardens, and taking a break from the city. 12. FITO Museum (Museum of Traditional Vietnamese Medicine) - I was quite impressed by the Vietnamese medicine private museum - very interactive and educational. 13. San Art Laboratory – If you love modern art, the San Art Laboratory is a great place to see and visit in Saigon. 14. Turtle Lake at Night - If you’re looking for some things to do at night in Saigon, head to Turtle Lake to chill out, relax, hang out with friends, and eat snacks. 15. Ben Thanh Market - One of the most famous things to do in Saigon District 1 is visit the Ben Thanh Market, one of the major central landmarks of the city. 16. Phu My Hung and Starlight Bridge - Located outside of central Ho Chi Minh City, Phu My Hung is a modern development, and a great place to walk around. 17. Water Puppet Show - Though originally from the north of Vietnam, water puppet shows are popular also in Saigon. I went to the Golden Dragon Water Puppet theater. 18. Museum of Vietnamese History - Probably one of the most extensive and important museum showing the history of Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City. 19. Rooftop Bar - Seeing Saigon from above offers a great perspective. 20. Fine Arts Museum - This was my favorite of all the museums in Saigon. The museum is housed in a well preserved building, and the art is amazing - located right in District 1 across the roundabout from Ben Thanh Market. 21. Jade Emperor Pagoda - Dedicated to the Jade Emperor, the pagoda has a real ancient feel to it, and it’s worth seeing when you visit. 22. Local Wet Market - One of my favorite things to do is visit a local fresh wet market, which you’ll find all over the city. The ingredients, food, and culture, all stand out at fresh markets. 23. Vietnamese Street Food - By my ultimate favorite activity in Saigon is eating street food, and there are an abundance of delicious Vietnamese street foods to sample. Beef Pho Ingredients Cup of Noodle: Beef Flavor 1 Teaspoon Five-Spice Powder 1 Teaspoon Hoisin Sauce Shredded Deli roast beef Basil Fish Sauce Lime Sprouts Jalapeno - Open Cup of Noodle add teaspoon of Five-Spice powder and Hoisin sauce and fill with hot water and cover. Let noodles sit for a few minutes. Pull lid off and mix noodles. Then add roast beef, basil, fish sauce, sprouts, squirt of lime, and Jalapeno. Mix and slurp! Thai Coconut Curry Ingredients Cup of Noodle: Chicken Vegetable Flavor Coconut Milk 1 Teaspoon Green Curry Paste Sliced Sweet Peppers Sliced Shiitake Mushrooms Lime Cilantro - Open Cup of Noodle and fill half with coconut milk, add green curry paste, sweet peppers, and Shiitake Mushrooms, fill with hot water, cover and let sit for a few minutes. Peel off lid and mix together. Add cilantro and squeeze of lime, mix again and eat! Chicken Tikka Masala Ingredients Cup of Noodle: Chicken Vegetable Flavor 1 Teaspoon Curry Powder 3 Teaspoons Tomato Sauce Chickpeas (canned) Grilled Chicken 2 Teaspoons Plain Yogurt Cilantro - Open Cup of Noodles add curry powder and tomato sauce. Then add chickpea, and sliced grilled chicken. Add hot water but don t fill all the way, you want it to be creamy like Tikka Masala. Cover and let sit for a few minutes. Peel off lid and add yogurt, mix and add cilantro. Enjoy! Kimchi Tofu Ingredients Cup of Noodle: Shrimp Flavor Gochujang (Korean hot Pepper Paste) Kimchi Tofu Scallion - Open shrimp Cup of Noodle and add gochujang pepper paste, (add more or less depending on how spicy you like it) sliced kimchi and diced tofu. Add hot water, cover and let it sit for a few minutes. Peel back lid and add chopped scallion, mix and eat! Smoked Salmon Miso Ingredients Cup of Noodle (Any flavor we used Chicken) 1 Teaspoon White Miso Smoked Salmon (Separated) Scallion Seaweed Red Chili Pepper Egg Yolk - Open Cup of Noodle and rinse it out with water, you don t really need the seasoning broth. Add miso paste, some sliced smoked salmon, and chopped scallions. Add hot water, cover and let sit for a few minutes. Peel off lid and mix together. Then add more smoked salmon, seaweed, sliced red chili peppers, scallion, and egg yolk. Mix and slurp it up!

In a stand mixer or with a hand beater, beat cream cheese and sugar until they are smooth. Transfer to a zipper bag and set aside. Transfer cherry pie filling into a zipper bag and set aside. On a well-floured surface, roll out each sheet of puff pastry and cut it into 9 squares. Transfer the squares to parchment-lined baking sheets. Make a one inch cut on each corner of each square. Cut the tip from both zipper bags. Place a dollop of cream cheese filling and a dollop of cherry pie filling in the centre of each square. Pull one side of each corner into the centre of the square to create a pinwheel. In a small bowl whisk one egg and one tablespoon of water. Brush the tops of each pinwheel with the egg wash. Bake at 400°F for 15 minutes or until the tops of each pinwheel are golden. Enjoy! Pesto & Roasted Red Pepper Pinwheels 1 sheet puff pastry dough ¾ cup goat cheese OR cream cheese, room temperature ¼ cup pesto ¼ cup roasted red peppers, finely chopped 1 egg 1 tbsp water Preheat oven to 400°F. In a small bowl beat goat cheese and pesto together until they are well combined. On a well-floured surface, roll out each sheet of puff pastry. Spread goat cheese mixture over the entire sheet, leaving just one inch so the dough will seal. Spread roasted red pepper evenly over the goat cheese mixture. Starting from the bottom, carefully roll the dough. Place the rolled dough into the refrigerator to chill for 15-20 minutes before cutting. Using a sharp serrated knife, cut the dough into ¼ inch pinwheels and place them on a parchment lined baking sheet. In a small bowl whisk one egg and one tablespoon of water. Brush the tops of each pinwheel with the egg wash. Bake at 400°F for 14-18 minutes or until the tops of each pinwheel are golden. Enjoy! Cinnamon Twists For the twists: 2 sheets puff pastry dough ¼ cup sugar 1 tsp cinnamon 1 egg 1 tbsp water For the glaze: 1 cup icing sugar 1-2 tbsp milk ½ tsp vanilla extract Preheat oven to 400°F. In a small bowl mix sugar and cinnamon together until they are well combined. On a well-floured surface, roll out each sheet of puff pastry. Using a pastry brush, brush the entire surface with egg wash. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar over the buttered surface. Using a pizza cutter, cut the dough into 1 inch strips. Grab the ends of each strip and twist the dough. Place each twist on a parchment-lined baking sheet. In a small bowl whisk one egg and one tablespoon of water. Brush the tops of each twist with the egg wash. Bake at 400°F for 12-14 minutes or until they are golden. In a small bowl whisk icing sugar, milk and vanilla extract.
