http://serious-fitness-programs.com/weightloss FACEBOOK PAGE: https://www.facebook.com/TheSeriousfitness http://www.serious-fitness-programs.com/2016/02/food-that-burns-fat-list-of-foods-and.html The first thing is fruits that are rich in vitamin C, like lemon, oranges, guava, grapes, tangerines and lime. They all have properties of fat burning character, the vitamin C dilutes the fat, making it less portent helping it to be released from the body faster. Other foods include chilies, bell peppers, cabbages, broccoli, Soya beans, apples and blue berries. The pectin that are present in apples restrict the cells to absorb fat, it also encourages water absorption from the food causing the release of fat deposits. Whole grains: Your body burns twice as many calories breaking down whole foods than processed foods (especially those rich in fiber such as oatmeal and brown rice). Lean meats: Protein has a high thermogenic effect: You burn about 30% of the calories the food contains during digestion (so a 300-calorie chicken breast requires about 90 calories to break it down). Foods rich in fiber: Fiber plays an important role in fighting obesity. Most Americans consume only 12 grams of fiber a day. However, it is recommended to consume 20-35 grams of fiber per day. Foods that are rich in fiber include: - Bananas, beans, potatoes, dried figs, spinach… Garlic- is yet another very effective fat burning food, it contains allicin that help reduce cholesterol as fats Now how these foods can help you lose weight? 1-Foods that are high in protein take longer to digest and can significantly boost your metabolism resulting in higher caloric burn. 2-Foods that are high in fiber like Whole grain cereal can help you feel full sooner and for longer. Fiber also helps move fat through our digestive system faster so that less of it is absorbed into the body. 3-Foods like milk that are high in complex carbohydrates can boost your metabolism by helping your insulin levels stay low after a meal. Low insulin levels are desirable while high insulin levels are the signal to your body to hang on to fat. 4-Foods like green tea that are high in chemical complex EGCG causes the brain and nervous system to run faster which helps you burn more calories. 5-Foods that contains Omega-3 fatty acids like salmon and tuna can alter the levels of a hormone in your body called leptin, Lower leptin levels are associated with a higher caloric burn. There are many other foods that burn fat or have similar properties to those mentioned, but the key secret would be to use theme wisely with a proper diet as well as exercises to bring out the best result of weight loss. ►Check out my Taipei Travel Guide for Food Lovers: https://goo.gl/PbAuzQ ►Subscribe to my videos: http://bit.ly/MarkWiensSubscribe Probably one of the most famous things to do in Taipei is go to the Taipei 101, which is the tallest and most iconic building in the city. On the first few floors of the Taipei 101 is a luxury mall, but the most popular attraction is the Taipei 101 Observatory, which is located on the 89th and 91st floors. The entrance price is a pretty steep cost of 500 Taiwan Dollars, but it’s a popular thing to do and I wanted to check it out during out trip. We arrived in the morning, right after they opened at about 9 am, bought our tickets, and went to the elevator to go to the top of the building. The elevator ride, which they claim is the fastest elevator in the world, was quite amazingly fast. It felt like it only took about 10 seconds but in reality it actually took about 40 seconds - but to get to the 89th floor, it was still incredibly fast. Once at the top, it was mostly just an observatory set up specifically for tourists, but still worth it for the amazing views of Taipei city and the surrounding mountains. After going to the Taipei 101 Observatory, we came down, and there happens to be a branch of Din Tai Fung, the famous Taiwanese soup dumplings restaurant at the Taipei 101. Luckily we arrived quite early when the restaurant wasn’t too busy, so we happen to get seats easily for lunch. I made a separate full video about eating at Din Tai Fung, which I’ll post later. After lunch, since were were still near the Taipei 101, we decided to go to Elephant Hill, a mountain near Taipei 101 where there are some hiking and nature trails. After figuring out which trail to take, we took a staircase trail, which was well marked out to Elephant Hill. The walk didn’t take more than about 20 minutes, and once we arrived at the Elephant Hill lookout point, we could see the entire skyline of Taipei, but a much different perspective of Taipei from the Taipei 101 Observatory. It was good to see and I enjoyed the outdoor atmosphere and the different perspective of the skyline from the mountain. I would highly recommend going to Elephant Hill when you’re in Taipei. Next, we rushed off to the Taipei Zoo, one of the largest and most developed zoos in Asia. The price was only 60 TWD, and it was very nice to just spend some time walking around and enjoying both the animals and the impressively lush and tropical zoo grounds. I think the Taipei zoo is one of the great things to do if you have kids, or even you can go just to walk around and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. After the Taipei zoo, we wanted to go to the Maokong Gondola, but due to stormy weather, the Gondola closed, so we had to change our plans. From the Taipei Zoo, we headed back to the Dongmen area and had a snack of a famous Taiwanese shaved ice, and then we had dinner at a local restaurant. That was it for Day 4 in Taiwan - pretty cool to have a chance to visit the Taipei 101 Observatory. Read the full recipe for southern Thai gaeng som here: http://wp.me/p4a4F7-2XU There’s a dish in Thailand called gaeng som (and in English it’s also sometimes spelled kaeng som, though I think the first letter sounds a bit more like a g then a k แกงส้ม). Anyway, if can refer to a number of different styles of sour curry / soup. The central Thai version of gaeng som (แกงส้ม) is red in color and has a very sweet and sour flavor. But we’ll be making the recipes for southern Thai style gaeng som, which is not sweet at all, orange and yellow in color, and known for being spicy and full of turmeric. In Bangkok, southern Thai gaeng som is often referred to as gaeng leung (yellow curry), but in southern Thailand they just called it gaeng som (แกงส้ม). Why is it a curry and not a soup? Although it may look like what we typically call a soup in English, the reason it is technically a curry is because it gets its flavor from a paste instead of just boiling herbs or stock to make an infusion - that would be a soup. This Thai gaeng som recipe is actually quite easy to make, and when I’m at home in Thailand, my mother in law makes it for me at least a couple of times a week. I like it so much because it’s very healthy, has a powerful spicy and sour flavor, and we always have the ingredients for this dish at our house. Be sure to check out the full recipe and more photos over on my Thai food blog at eatingthaifood.com: http://wp.me/p4a4F7-2XU, but also, I’ve listed the ingredients you’ll need for this authentic Thai recipe below. Here are the ingredients you ll need: This is for the soup part of the recipe: 1 fish - 600 grams (ปลากระพง) 1.5 - 2 litres water (น้ำเปล่า) 1 green papaya - 700 grams (มะละกอดิบ) 1 tbsp salt to taste (เกลือ) 1 tbsp shrimp paste (กะปิ) 10 - 15 tbsp lime juice - I used about 20 limes in total (น้ำมะนาว) And for the curry paste part of the recipe: 1 head garlic (กระเทียม) 20 grams turmeric (2 - 3 fingers (ขมิ้น) 60 grams white bird s eye chilis, in Thai prik kee noo khao - I counted about 100 chilies (พริกขี้หนูขาว) 2 shallots (หอมแดง) After making the curry paste, you then boil it with water, throw in the green papaya, the fish, and then finally season it with salt and lime juice. Make sure you turn off the curry of the soup completely before you add in the lime juice - if you don’t the lime juice won’t be very sour, and it will turn bitter. That’s all there is to cooking this Thai sour spicy curry (วิธีทำ แกงส้ม) from southern Thailand. If you love sour and if you love spicy dishes, you’re going to love this recipe.
