Even the flight was spectacular as we passed by Nanga Parbat enroute to the gorgeous city of Skardu. Quick snack in Skardu - After landing we proceeded through security and immigration and continued on to Skardu town. We stopped in Skardu town to run a few errands along the way, and we happen to stop just outside a small shop selling chapli kebabs and a few different Pakistani curries. We had to stop for a quick snack. The chapli kebabs were excellent as usual, and the saag with meat curry was spectacular. Total price - 680 PKR ($5.05) Serena Shigar Fort (https://www.serenahotels.com/serenashigarf/en/default.html) - It was about a 30 minute drive from Skardu to Shigar, and it was a spectacular drive through the mountains until we emerged into Shigar, another lush valley. The scenery was other-worldly. We checked into Serena Shigar Fort (thanks to them for sponsoring our stay). Baltistan Food - The real highlight of the day was having a local Baltistan food dinner where an amazing family prepared 14 different traditional dishes. Many of the dishes included whole grains, fresh goat, and plenty of apricot oil for seasoning and flavor. It was an amazing meal, and fellowship, and just a taste of the Baltistan, Pakistan. I want to eat all the chicken legs cooked by grandpa because it looks delicious. Today I request my grandpa to cook my favorite VillageFood recipe chicken leg fry, and he did. When he cooks, I can t control myself until it is cooked. My grandpa uses simple ingredients to fry the chicken legs he uses, Salt, Pepper, and chili flakes. To fry the chicken leg pieces, he uses butter and oil. Grandpa cooking this chicken recipe in village style, so the taste is amazing. I and my brothers ate the chicken legs very harshly. Sorry chickens! You are very tasty.

I ve done a lot of videos on different types of ramen, but I haven t paid much attention to the cousin of the ramen, Udon. The first place, Shin Udon, has incredibly fresh and chewy noodles, and if you get the cold udon, the dipping sauce has a great umami flavor to it. The tempura here is amazing as well, very tender, crunchy, and juicy. For the second place, I defiantly recommend Godaime Hanayama Udon. The Oni-Himokawa noodles at Hanayama Udon are unique. It s not the regular udon noodles you would typically get. It s a lot wider and flat.
