After a long delay to the season start, first round of Enduro GP 2020 held on France - Réquista. Enduro GP World Champion Brad Freeman started to the race as a Beta Factory Rider with his team mate Steve Holcombo. The race was soo dusty in the first day. Wade Young smashed Sea to Sky Hard Enduro Beach Race and claimed the victory. Race day started with prologue at which riders supposed to have two hot laps and get the best time possible. Right before the second run it started raining heavily which effected the lap times profoundly and we had a surprise winner at prologue, Rene Jerbach (EST). The weather was perfect in the afternoon. The fastest 150 at the Prologue was qualified to Beach Race and they took start in three groups (50 Pax). Jonathan Richardson took the early lead with a fantastic start and kept the podium fight for a while. He then lost positions and finished the race with P4. It was all about Wade Young, he seemed really strong and comfortable on the bike which paid off with a clear victory over the day. Mario Roman finished in P2 and David Cyprian in P3. Graham Jarvis had good race as well and got a good start position for the next day. He finished with P5. I got to try the Zhiyun Tech Rider M gimbal on a few wingsuit skydives this week. On a belly mounted position it gives great results, but I was most interested in seeing how it would deal with a helmet mounted setup for real camerawork. On the ground Ive used it a lot, and its an awesome little gimbal. At a 140 km/h airspeed, the device did struggle under certain angles, and produced a noticeable wobble. But looking straight down or (backflying) straight up, the relative wind seemed to be of no influence and the device produced impressive results. I ve compared the footage from the Rider M gimbal to footage from a DSLR that was shooting simultaneously (with a 50 mm lens), and the results are impressive. In this side by side video, there is no post stabilization, and the footage from both cameras shows exactly what the device does. Do note that (due to the 50mm angle on the DSLR) the shake present is much more pronounced. But regardless, the difference is huge. 24MX Alestrem 2020, the best Hard Enduro race in France started with 500 riders to the Day1 Mitas Xtreme. The rain before the start made the race much harder for Amateur riders. The final run was the hotshot the day and KTM Factory Racing’s newest member Manuel Lettenbicler claimed the victory. Wade Young finished it with P2 and Mario Roman P3. Being the Friday night’s tradition of every EnduroGP throughout the season, Super Test caused the excitement rates gone rocket high among the audience. The ice breaker of each EnduroGP the Akrapovic Super Test welcomes every contender from any class for exciting duel style dirt bike battles. Every contender had their moments but in the end, we had only one place for the top spot of the podium. It was Matteo Cavalli of Sherco Factory Racing who took the crown at the end of the season with a total of 53 pts. Thomas Oldrati from Honda Red Moto took 2nd place with 47 pts and Brad Freeman of Beta Boano 3rd with 41 pts.
