So i set out to make a video totally unlike what I ended up making, but i have what i have, Dreams, i suppose the progression to Live On really. In this video i aimed to focus on a softer, more washed out look with a style that reminded me of when i have mishandled colour film negatives. For camerawork I hoped to get into the action but move away from the following like in Live On, and closer to the wowhenearlykilledme effect of Heartbeat. I was very lucky to have so much co-operation from the wonderful people in this piece that without, I would have nobody to film and probably wouldnt be making half the quality videos i am so privileged to create. I actually ended up with a whole load of gym footage i was going to use but havent yet, so chances are i ll do a Prog4 Part2 or something with all the gym stuff in. I guess this is the spiritual sequel to Heartbeat, and originally id chosen an intense dubstep song to go with it. After two weeks of no progress with the editing, a discussion one evening with the 3 Ilabaca brothers made me seriously rethink where i wanted to go with this video. So, I wiped the slate clean and started over, with the song you hear now. As for the progressions, since i first did Heartbeat i sort of developed five different progressions in my head. Three of which have now been completed. There will be two more and then the series will be finished! This was filmed during my birthday week when everyone came to cambridge, so i guess it took about three days to get it all done. All the planned runs were thought up and filmed within about 20 mins.
