Almost two years ago at the beginning of this process I knew I wanted to create something that performed like no other shoe has for our sport but looked dope as hell to. We achieved the ascetic I wanted through working with our in house designer @Yannick Williamson a long time friend and rapper who goes by the stage name of Varnell Hill. But besides the look of the shoe the most important thing to me when we released the La FLair Shoe was going to be able to answer one question with confidence. As a newer company in the shoe space we wanted to make sure we could pull off something as specific and technologically challenging as this so we knew we would have to work with someone with the expertise and knowledge of constructing a shoe that could withstand the quickly evolving landscape of movement possibilities in one of the most dynamic sports in the world, #freerunning. As fate would have it Jesse La Flair connected with the one and only Robert Purvey a legend in the shoe game with over 20 years of experience and a resume that would blow your mind. After designing signature shoes with sports icons like Kobe, Shaq, and Iverson to name a few, Purvey a fan of Jesse s was ready to jump on board with #TMPST and change the game. His history and connections made through working for a variety of shoe brands like Nike, Adidas and Vans to name a few have opened the possibility to make something extremely special for the sport. Full review at tested.tetongravity.com // As one of the few plus-tired bikes we tested in Bentonville, Rocky Mountain’s Pipeline certainly stood out in the crowd. The 140mm 27.5”+ carbon bike screams versatility for all types of trails, especially the kind of pedal-y singletrack found around Arkansas. Plus-sized bikes are nothing new, but the Pipeline finally gets it right. Testers were blown away by the bike’s capability both climbing and descending, likening it to a “BMX bike for the trails.” In other words, a goat on the way up, but playful and poppy on the way down. An added bonus lies in the fact that the frame also accommodates 29” wheels, turning the bike into Rocky Mountain’s Instinct
