The year started off with a bang at the Skydive Algarve Christmas boogie. The following months saw us locked down with no skydiving until the middle of summer. Hoping for a better 2021!

We were back at racing at the FIM’s Hard Enduro World Championship with Round 4, Red Bull Abestone, in Tuscany. This was the second ever addition at the gnarly ski resort of Abetone and it was bound to be hard as hell with the technical rocky sections. Racing weekend started with Saturday’s Straight Rhythm qualifier and Billy Bolt was the man to secure the lead starting position for the main race. Alfredo Gomez came in P2 and Manuel Lattenbichler P3. Billy Bolt flagged away to open the track and lead the pack on Sunday. There were 30 seconds in between top starters but when it’s the hard enduro it is not a big one. Manuel Lettenbichler got passed Alfredo and Billy before the mid first lap and from then on, the German rode his pace without making any mistakes and even pushing when he felt it needed. He got his third win in a row which was beyond expectations even for him. Billy Bolt lost the contact right after Mani’s got passed him and tried to stick on the position with a sore wrist. The Brit brought the P2 Podium home safe and kept the chin up. For the third podium place the battle was fierce. After the qualifying disaster, Mario Roman had to start far behind the leading group, P13. The Spaniard however, got a good rhythm and recovered all the way up to P3. One of Tuscany s ski destination, Abetone, hosted the second ever Abestone Hard Enduro as FIM s Hard Enduro World Championship s Rd4. Racing weekend started with Straight Rhythm quali and continued with the Main Race. Dieter Rudolf completed the qualification with P8 and reserved a fairly good spot for Main Race s start. He then tackle the two lap extreme track as hard as he can to accomplish the best result possible. The Austrian however, couldn t find the pace he had hoped and had to settle with P12 in the end. Because Dieter was not an FIM sportsmen we were able to mount a GoPro to his helmet to get the best possible POV footage. Enjoy his highlights.
