To make this labyrinth, you will need some thick cardboard, hot glue, some paints and markers, a ruler, some wooden ice-cream sticks, a spinner, and some plastic. First, you need to mark out all the rooms on a large piece of cardboard. Then you need to make all the fun details: a revolving door shaped like a piece of cheese, a seesaw, a bridge, and a transparent tunnel. Then make the walls! Some walls should have round doors for the rat to pass through them. Make the gates for the entrance, to close the rat in. Then glue all the pieces in place. Lastly, cover the labyrinth with a large piece of plastic glass. It should have a lot of holes in it to let the air through! And then let the rat in! Slime Sam loves all of his pets and he loves playing with them - Garry the snail, Tater Tots the rat, and ever busy ants in their ant house. And he also loves his pet hamsters. But they are obviously not in the mood to play. Sam is determined to lure them out. His human friend Sue suggests building a cardboard labyrinth for them, but Sam is skeptical. The labyrinth has a ladder made of wooden skewers, a wire net to climb on, a wavy cardboard path, a narrow cardboard path, a slide, a ring challenge and a door! But the crown jewel here is a brightly colored tunnel with Sam s picture on it. Don t forget to make the path safe for the hamsters and glue little cushions on all the places where they can fall. Slime Sam has a lot of candy machines in his collection. But he doesn t want to stop. He even wakes his human friend Samantha and asks her to make him a new candy machine right now! Samantha is reluctant at first, but then she agrees. She doesn t do boring things, so her candy machine is quite complicated. It sends candies (or gumballs if you prefer) flying up a tube with the help of a small catapult and then down they go a spiral chute. Making this machine requires some patience and exact measurements. Start with the candy storage/catapult part. Then make the spiral chute and unite two parts. You will need lots of corrugated cardboard, a hot glue, cardboard glue, a few wooden sticks, a couple of rubber bands and some transparent film. When the machine is assembled, you can decorate it with some colored paper. It s up to you. Then load your machine with candies or gumballs and have fun playing with it! Slime Sam is really into zombie games. And he wants them in real life, not on the phone or a computer. That s why he and his human friend Sue start making Plants vs Zombies game out of cardboard! Those zombie characters are fun to make, they are so colorful, and they really move! This DIY project is a bit more challenging, because it requires working with wires, motors, and batteries. Make sure you ask an adult to help you with that! You will also need some thick cardboard, a bit of thread, wooden sticks, small round magnets, some parchment paper, clear plastic film, and, of course, bright pictures from the game - all the zombie characters and some additional details. Each zombie character is glued onto a special stand to knock it down with a magnet. You can make three levels of difficulty here! The game itself resembles a large box. Slime Sam wants to go to a slime ball. But evil stepmother made him clean all day and sort Skittles and M&Ms instead. Sam is sad. But then a fairy godmother comes to him and promises to find a magical way to sort those candies. It starts rather ordinary - with some cardboard. Sue and Sam cut out different pieces. And Sue uses magical glittery glue to assemble the candy machine. The pieces are rather simple. The base looks like a crate. Two compartments go on top. And two slides on the sides. The trick to this is a moving piece that goes inside the machine. It has two openings that let candies fall through. Move the piece and pour the candies you want! The machine doesn t help with actually sorting the candies, only with keeping them separately. But it s time for the fairy godmother to do some magic! Will it be enough to send Sam to the slime ball? They want a bigger colony, so they get more ants and a new formicarium for them. It s easy to assemble and fun to decorate! This ant farm has a large area which ants can explore and get their food. This area is called the arena and Sue decorates it to look like a seashore: there s sand, blue pebbles to imitate the sea, several large stones, artificial plants, a small wooden house, and even a toy turtle! It is important to remember that the arena can be decorated only when the ants settle in. To make sure your ants are happy and healthy, you need to moisturize the system of pathways. It can be done by wetting plaster-covered segments of this formicarium. Make sure you use very pure water, preferably distilled water. All decor elements and food should be as clean as possible, too. Remember to clean the arena from time to time, because that s where the ants will take their rubbish out. This colony is formed by harvester ants, Messor Structor. They are known for grinding seeds with their mandibles into fine flour. They use this flour to make food for their babies and share food with fellow ants. Their colony can grow up to 50 000 specimen! To make this amazing Viking helmet, you will only need cardboard and hot glue. The helmet consists of two part - the base and the decorations. The base is made of six pieces that are glued together to form a hat. The decorations are made of thin strips of cardboard. Three longer strips go all the way around the lower edge of the base. And wider and shorter strips form two horns. You need to roll these strips up and glue them together at an angle. Then glue them on top of the base and you re done. Slime Sam is very excited about the helmet and wants to try it on right away. However, it turns out that it s more like a tent for him than a helmet. Then Sam starts searching for someone this helmet will fit and it turns out to be a dog named Cookie! She makes a really awesome Valkyrie. At least, that s what Sam thinks. Usually, slime Sam and his human friend Sue make crafts on their own. But this time, they decided to try something new. And their neighbor, crafty Rodger, agreed to help them with it. They are making a pencil planet! First, Sam and Sue make the base. They glue lots of pencils to a cardboard circle. The pencils are of different sizes to make it look like fireworks of color! Then, Sue glues a wall around the pencils and makes sure there aren t any gaps. Because the next step is to pour some epoxy resin inside! The resin needs to set in a vacuum chamber and that s where Roger comes in. Roger uses a vacuum chamber to make sure the resin sets properly. Then he takes it out of the mold and starts shaping it with special equipment. He shapes it like a sphere. And since the resin is transparent, all the colorful pencils are clearly visible inside. There are pretty bubbles in there, too! The last step is to polish the sphere with sandpaper. Sam and Sue are delighted. This is a very beautiful piece of decor! One day Sue returns home to find that many of her usual items have become really small! As if a doll decided to move into their home. It will be fun! 1:00 First, Sam and Sue make a bright and colorful pencil holder out of paper segments. Each segment is made out of two pieces of colorful paper. It s best to take contrasting colors. Then, all the segments are glued together, forming a hexagon. After that, you need to glue the bottom and it s done! 3:00 Second comes a very cute desk organizer for small items, like paper clips or push pins. This craft doesn t even need glue. Sue simply folds several pieces of paper in a special way and then attaches them to each other. No small item will be lost now! 4:34 Do you like notepads? Sam and Sue love them.
